This is a huge hotel but as the rooms are divided up in different blocks you do not get the impression of being surrounded by people. The gardens are beautiful and the rooms very elegant and spacious with an excellent bathroom which includes a tub. The rooms all appear to have a small balcony in which you can sit out and enjoy the silence. Staff are very attentive and the buffet style food is varied and interesting. The journey to the airport in Chengdu takes just over the hour so don't cut it fine. For those who don't like walking there are golf buggies to take you to your chalet.
I had a pleasant 2-night stay in this hotel. Upon arrival, we were offered help with our bags and were transported to the lobby on a golf buggy. The estate is huge, so you could either choose to walk or request for a ride by ringing the front desk. Check-in was smooth and we were escorted to our room on yet another buggy ride. We did not like that the patio was facing a tall wall so we requested for a room-change. This was facilitated promptly and we were moved to a room facing a garden. We really liked that the hotel was new, clean and well-kept. Location wise, you could walk to the town centre for food (mainly local cuisine) within 15 minutes. For other places, just call for a cab or use the local ride-hailing app Didi (you can set the language to English). Breakfast at the hotel was a good spread but it got quite crowded so we had to share a table with other guests. At the time of our stay, we saw that the hotel had mainly domestic guests. There were no westerners in the premises. We speak Mandarin so we did not have any problems communicating with the hotel's staff, but it seemed to us that they did not speak much English. My only complaint would be the fact that we were locked out of our room on the second night because we had ordered room service (a bowl of dumplings and a slice of cake) the night before. Apparently, the bill cost more than the room deposit placed, and since our rooms were fully paid up before checking in, the hotel required us to settle the room service bill at the front desk before we could return to our room. This was rather inconvenient as we had returned to the hotel late and tired after an entire day of visit to Mount Qingcheng. Overall, we were glad to have booked this hotel despite the lack of information and reviews online. Hope this helps!…
There is so little information on this hotel, so I wasn't sure what I was getting into. But I wanted something cheaper than Six Sense and nicer than Howard Johnson. I found this place, but there is one photo and no reviews. It's definitely a 5 stars hotel. The room I go was exactly like the photo and so was the view. The entire hotel has a beautiful design. My room was super clean and felt like everything was new. I couldn't figure out the heater so someone came to turn it on. The bathroom was also full of amenities and soft towels on marble floors. Their breakfast was AMAZING! There was a local breakfast and international with egg station. The only thing they could work on is their English. I really complain that a hotel in another country should all speak English, but a little bit would help their non Chinese guests, which there was hardly any. There was one guy who spoke English, and he managed to arrange a taxi (more like Uber type) to drop us off at restaurant and pick us up. I tried to order drinks mid day and even though I could see beer in the glass case, I could not have it, and I still do not know why. Even though I could not speak Chinese, when water spilled out from my shower they came and looked to see what I was trying to say, then fixed it. Easy to communicate by miming. There is nothing around the area that is walking distance, or much to do at night. However, its so close to Panda facility and Mt Qingcheng. I am happy I chose to stay here then drive back and forth from Chengdu. I wished there was this exact hotel in Chengdu. I stayed at the Ritz in Chengdu, and I would say the hotel is comparable except for the language barrier. Great hotel, nonetheless, and would recommend!!!! I could not find this hotel on tripadvisor, and loved it so much that I am requesting to add it.…
