We are frequent visitors to this area, family and friends nearby. Made this reservation 2 months in advance- requested a quiet space away from traffic. They put us outside the registration office next to parking. No privacy, felt like we were on display the whole time. Staff not accommodating at all, actually pretty short with my husband, this or nothing and lose your $. Spaces are so small-no room to sit unless you want to sit near your neighbors sewer. Can hear and see everything in the next Rv😳. It’s called a resort, apparently the term is used loosely-No restaurant, game room, boat/kayak rentals that we could see.

Buyer Beware

They require you to cancel 7 days prior to your trip. If you do not, they take your money and offer no refund. Not even hotels do this. I had a situation where my daughter wasn't going to go to her softball tournament (which was the reason I was staying at the campground). The team had to back out 3 days prior. I only made the reservation 4 days ago, tried to cancel, was informed they wouldn't give me my $ back. Basically, since I made the reservation 4 days prior to the trip, with their horrible policy, I couldn't EVER cancel and get my $ back. Customer service doesn't matter to these people. It's all about taking your $. I would recommend finding another place to camp. This was in Late September so not even peak season.

So-So

A decent place to lay over for a a few days. Well appointed but dated and could use more character but the facilities were relatively clean and the lake is nice. The prices are high but expected in the area.

Quiet hidden gem

Scoured the internet looking for a place to book as we were in the area for a wedding and didn't want to stay in a hotel. Found this place and booked a cabin over the phone. Paid for an additional bedpack and bed was made upon arrival in our two bedroom cabin right on the water. Equipped with dishes and full kitchen. Fed the ducks in the mornings, and barely saw a soul. Boats were off of the water for the winter in early November. Friendly staff. Loved it. Thank you sunrise.

Don't stay here!

We made a reservation for a space with full hook-ups in this park two months in advance. My husband was reassured over the phone at the time of the reservation that we would be in a space that had 50 amp, water, and sewer. When we checked in, we were told we would have to stay in another space for one night because the space that we had reserved was not available. The space we were assigned had water and 30 amp but no sewer. No big deal, just one night. At that point, we were also told that there ARE no spaces in the park that have 50 amp. We went ahead to our assigned space and the woman at the front desk immediately came riding up in her golf cart and asked us why we were parked in that space. We told her because she had just assigned that space to us. She said she didn't know what we were talking about and that she had not assigned that space to us and she was going back to the office to check. In fact, she said, "I don't believe you." When she returned, she agreed that she had assigned us to that space and then told us, "Oh, and by the way, you won't be able to use your air conditioner because the wiring in this part of the park is too old." Great! It's the 4th of July weekend and getting hot. Oh well, we will survive! After she left, we walked over to check out the space that we were supposed to be checking into the following day. Yikes! The space she had assigned to us for the rest of our trip was so small, we would not have been able to fit our motorhome into that space. We ended up staying in the space we were in with no sewer hook-up. Unfortunately, we had to pack up and dump our tanks throughout our stay. We did not get any kind of a reduction in price for our change in spaces or services. Other negatives besides an extremely unfriendly staff include much of the park is full of live-ins, the spaces are so tight you have about 2-3 feet between your slides and your neighbors, and the park is not well maintained. There was so little space between rigs that there was little to no room to set up a place to sit, cook, or barbeque outside. We have stayed in a lot of RV resorts and state parks. This is absolutely the worst park we have ever stayed at and we will NOT be back!!
