We absolutely loved our stay at the Purabarang Family House with Pauluss and his family. The accomodation is clean and spacious. We had a room with a private bathroom with shower and toilet. Breakfast is included and is so tasty (the best banana pancakes we had). There is also very good Wifi available. We truly enjoyed staying here and ended up staying for around a week. The town is a 15 min walk from the property. Pauluss can assist with renting a scooter if needed. We also spent 3 full days with Pauluss exploring the area. Pauluss is very friendly, efficient and is fluent in English. He provided us with so much information about the Toraja culture and their traditions. We were also lucky to see both a wedding and funeral ceremony. We can't thank Pauluss enough for his service, hospitality and all the information we received. He really is amazing and we felt so at home with him. The accomodation is less expensive than other options in town, but you get so much more if you stay here. Paul ist sehr sehr nett und hat uns sogar nachdem check out noch einen halben Tag im Zimmer geschenkt weil unser Nachtbus nach Makassar erst abends abfuhr. Das Frühstück ist lecker, das restliche Personal ist nett. Paul hat uns super Tipps für die zwei Tage gegeben. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und ganz normal eingerichtet. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist der Kracher. Man bekommt echt verdammt viel für so wenig Geld. Der Oberhammer kommt zum Schluss, Paul hat uns den Nachtbus organisiert während wir schön wandern waren. Abends hat er unsere beiden backpacks noch mit dem Roller zum Busbahnhof gebracht und alles vor Ort geklärt das wir auch sicher in den richtigen Bus einsteigen. Er hat uns bis zum Sitz im Bus gebracht. Völlig kostenlos. Also der Mann ist unseres Erachtens der menschlichste und Hilfsbeteiteste Einheimische den wir auf unsere ganzen Sulawesireise getroffen haben. Sowas musste einfach mit einem Trinkgeld und Bewertung im netz belohnt werden. Viele Grüße und bis zum nächsten mal Stefan und Nina…
