Kristian est un très bon hôte. Même absent à notre arrivée, il s'assure qu'on soit bien pris en charge et bien reçu. Il assure le pick up sans souci depuis la station de bus. Par ailleurs, il propose des day tour avec lui comme guide. Une énorme plus-value car il nous partage énormément sa culture, ses traditions. Il nous fait deviner et decouvrir toutes les plantes possibles. On se sent en sécurité avec Kristian. On a l'impression qu'il connait tout le monde. Le logement est propre et tres bien placé. Il y a de l'eau chaude. Thé et café à disposition. La connexion internet est top! Choix de petit dej. Rien à redire! Merci pour tout Kristian

The value for money is very good here. The rooms were clean, the employees very friendly snd helpful, the location also very good and the breakfast exceptional (delitious banana pancakes!). Tea, coffe and water refill for free. There is only one toilet with showet for the two shared bathroom rooms but for us it worked out fine. Kristian is a very nice host and helps you with everything from organizing tours to the vulcano Inerie to drove a guest back to Labuan Bajo (at least 6 hours one way) because he had a scooter accident and broke his arm. In the evening there sometimes are some local friends and the also employees from Kristian at the Homestay to chat and have a good time. We really enjoyed it at Kristians and learned many new things about the environment, the culture and people.

We have been staying in Kristian homestay for 2 nights. We booked for 1 room, 2 beds and a shared bathroom. It was really great!
On one hand, the place was cozy and good looking. The room was clean and didn't smell tabacco even if it was a smoking house. The bathroom was small but with a really hot shower!! The wifi connection (free) was really good. I made several phone calls without any interruption, there was water (free) to refill our water bottle and there were unlimited tea and coffee offered (free as well).
On the other hand, the host and his friend were AMAZING and sooooo funny and helpful! Kristian has been our driver for the day to Ineri, the Hotspring and the traditional villages. Good driver and good dj! Plus on a good mood the whole day. Melki ... The BEST guide of all the time! While doing the hike, Melki was attentive of our need/speed, helped almost all of us on the way up and down (cause the path was sometimes challenging). Bonus, he was really funny and so we heard him laugh so many times (he made us laugh so many times as well) and he's lauhh is really contagious! Plus, Melki takes every occasion he has to show us different kind of herbs, plants, tree, etc. everywhere we would go and if we had cultural question (of any kind) he would be really happy to answer it. Two amazing people.
Finally, they offered to drive us to Moni at a really reasonable price! Kind like they are, we did two stops on the way. 1. To go to other hotspring 2. To see a beautiful rice fields. Bonus, I forgot a pair of shoe at the homestay and the kindly organized everything to bringing them back the next day at my hotel!! How lovely is that?
Definitely I'll go back!

A me è piaciuto tanto! Una piccola pensione pulita, semplice e accogliente. Siamo stati accolti dal proprietario circondato da 6 bambini allegri e festosi: solo loro valgono la permanenza! La pensione è a circa 300 mt dalla via principale, con vista sulle montagne circondata da piante e fiori. La stanza era pulita e abbastanza grande. Mancava però un mobile su cui appoggiare le valigie. La colazione può essere ordinata, oltre a caffe, the e frutta si può scegliere tra tre piatti fatti al momento. In poche parole, una delle sistemazioni più carine del viaggio.

It was our second time in Flores and first time with Kristian. We can only say good things about our stay with him and at his place. The price is good, the location is central, the view is fantastic, the Wi-Fi is good, there is free coffee, tea and water refill and the breakfast is delicious. The rooms are clean and spacious, there is hot water, although sometimes the pressure is a bit low, scooter rental is 100k/day (normal price!!!, for a big scooter if you go away for a few days is 125/day - also good price!). Also Kristian speaks very good English, so communication is super easy, he replies quick on WhatsApp and always checks on you if he is not around. Also his wife speaks English and can help you out as much. On top Kristian brought as to the airport which was nice.
All in all Bajawa is a very nice place to stay a few days, to see the traditional villages, climb the volcano, swim in the hotsprings, good starting point to go to Riung (or better Watulajar). The people here are very friendly and you will have a good time wherever you go.
