Dear Kris L., First of all I want to thank you that you wrote down the experiences you made in our Titanic Resort & Aqua Park and shared them with other holidaymakers here on the Trip Advisor website. However, you were somehow disappointed with your stay in our Titanic Resort & Aqua Park, which makes my team and me really sad. The opinions and comments of our guests are very important for my team and me because only then we can improve our offers and our services continuously to respond even better to the wishes and desires of our guests in order to offer them a nice and relaxing holiday. It is a real pity that some of your expectations seem to not have been fulfilled. My office is always open for all concerns of our respected guests to discuss and to solve any inconveniences together and I think it is very sad, that you didn’t contact me personally, our guest relation manager or any other manager with your discontentment. We hope now that other holidaymakers reading your review here will also read our comments to it. We would have liked to respond to your criticism during your holiday and it is a pity that we now only have the opportunity to comment on your review. Each guest, including your family, receives a "welcome letter" one day after arrival with all the necessary information, whom you can contact in case of questions or criticism. Of course, we also understand very well that you do not want to spend your precious time on vacation with long discussions with the management, but experience shows us again and again that just one meeting with our management team is enough to solve all your dissatisfactions. We have always been able to help the very few guests who have reported their dissatisfaction to their satisfaction, and they have then also mentioned this positively in their review . Regrettably you missed the chance to spend a relaxing vacation by your non-communication with our team or me personally and preferred instead to write a non recommending review about your stay with us right after you have returned back home. Your comment about the staff being unwilling to serve children is totally contrary to the majority of other guest comments, who all say that our staff is very child friendly and attentive to them. Of course they know very well, that children do not tip. Every guest receives the same hospitality and service, whether they want to tip or not. But please accept our apologies, if you should have experienced this differently, as this is not up to our standard at all and also not tolerated by our management. And as you still know the name and number of the staff member in question, why don’t you report him to me or the F&B managers in order to take the necessary action? Please be assured that all the reviews here are about our Titanic Resort & Aqua Park and if it should happen that there is a review here published, which is for one of our sister hotels, we immediately report this to Trip Advisor and they move the review to the right hotel and vice versa it is the same. We don’t know, why you didn’t notice our Lazy River during your 3 weeks stay as 5 times per day the guests can go “rafting” there. And also you could have asked one of our recreation staff or their manager, where to find the Lazy River. So far no other guests complained about this point in all the years we operate this hotel. Of course it should not be, that elevators are out of order, but technical problems can happen anywhere and anytime. But please be assured that at least one of our two elevators in the lobby is always working, so it is not as you said that 50% of the time they were out of service. Also they are just a few metres away from each other and one does not have to walk far to get to the working elevator. Furthermore, if all this was so inconvenient for your family, you could have at least asked at our Front Office to change to a family room on the ground floor. We have this room category on every floor in our hotel, so it would have been very easy for us to move you there. Whatever you may have noticed about some service I have received in the restaurant from the staff, please let me tell you that I always take my food from the normal guest buffet and even line up myself at the egg station in the morning, so why should this be different regarding the drinks? “All Inclusive” also means self-service, this is also clearly mentioned in our AI Info sheet which every guest receives upon check-in. The majority of our guests prefers to take their drinks themselves, without having to wait for someone to serve them. But at the same time, if a guest is asking to be served his drinks we will gladly serve them anytime. But I don’t want to forget to thank you for your nice comments about the aqua park & pools, the room as well as your remark that our management tries hard to rectify so many things here and that all of this is a lot of work. We always try to do our best to let our guests enjoy a pleasant stay with us. It is really a pity that unfortunately we could not convince you of our hotel. Nevertheless, we believe that the many positive reviews and also the large number of our yearly regular guests cannot be wrong and speak for our hotel. However, I have only hope that one day you will give our Titanic Resort & Aqua Park nevertheless a second chance to show you that the comments, requests and suggestions of our guests are very important to us and hopefully we then can convince you about our hotel. Yes our beach is under renovation at the moment. But our hotel guests are transferred by shuttle bus to our sister hotel Titanic Beach, Spa & Aqua Park during the whole day starting from 08.30 a.m and then every 45 minutes.
