Went to a wedding at the weekend Everything was perfect .Hotel is a hidden gem and you do need a car as far from airport. As soon as we got to reception the welcome was warm and inviting The decor throughout is tasteful.Rooms well equipped My only gripe would be the towels could be bigger .Bed v comfortable .Food throughout excellent from breakfast to the wedding dinner.
The hotel was so welcoming. All the staff were warm, kind and helpful. I ate and drank in the bar. The food was delicious & good menus. My room was immaculate. The room was restocked each day with what I needed. The breakfast room was well staffed, and the menu for breakfast had all that you would want on a menu.
I recently enjoyed a very comfortable, warm and welcoming stay at this lovely hotel as part of a large party of 30 people for a special memorial weekend. The Hotel itself is situated in a beautiful spot and there are some lovely walks with stunning scenery close by . The quality and cleanliness of the rooms are of an excellent standard - along with the food which was of a high quality, deliscious and generous! What sets this hotel apart from the rest though are the staff. What a lovely bunch! So friendly ,so warm, so welcoming ...they made our stay so very special. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to this lovely hotel.
Really good hotel great staff good food and comfortable rooms. Be wary that you mat because resident and this may not guarantee you a table for food. I ordered food on Friday 20th January and was informed there was no table for me . I travelled to Belmullet 16 km away where I could get fed. Book your table in advance. Belhaven Hotel in Belmullet is an option if you cannot avail of Erris Coast Hotel. Highly recommended.
Stayed last year. One of the nights we ordered a pasta meal, which said it had both chorizo and prawn, but as we don't eat pork asked for it with prawn only, which they said was not a problem. When it came out, it had chorizo only and no prawn, so we returned it and explained, they said they would sort it. It came out again, with the prawns, but as we ate it, we found pieces of chorizo under the pasta, which led us to conclude that they hadn't redone it for us, but rather, had sloppily picked the chorizo out of our food and tried to pass it off, which to be honest, is somewhat offensive and not of a standard one would expect. This spoilt our visit and we would neither recommend nor return.
