Wow. Of the many hundreds of hotels I’ve stayed in over the years, this is the first one I have checked in to, and then immediately checked out of. Firstly there is no name/sign on the buildings… took me ages to find the place. Both buildings are literal building sites. During the 60 seconds I stayed in the room I seriously considered developing a crack habit and a career in very low-priced prostitution. Genuinely the most disgusting, dirty, cold, horrendously broken and depressing room I have ever entered. I checked straight out and went elsewhere. Have tried to find a web site/phone number etc to complain, but they don’t seem to have one. Credit where credit is due… the security/reception guy was very friendly, and the hotel is in a superb city centre location. I then found an article about the hotel (see my photo attached), and everything made sense. Avoid.…
Stayed here for a one night stand, there was mould everywhere and cardboard covering up smashed glass (See pics). Unfortunately had to go back as girl I brought back left her pants but will not be going back.
Stayed there last night for a night out in Norwich (cheaper than taxi) you need to forget about the old reviews. This place is now under new management and the guy that runs it is really helpful and a nice guy. Really clean room, clean sheets, small fridge, private en suite bathroom with shower, electric card key to enter our room. Really can't fault this place. Not a hostel anymore. Will be staying again. Hopefully this place will get some new reviews as it really deserves it.
Not as bad as we thought it might be based on previous reviews. The place looks a bit of an eyesore from the outside as it looks like it is still being developed and built. Building requires a lot of renovation. Room was clean and I must say the staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. You will need to register your car registration number with reception to avoid paying a parking fine for using the car park. Negatives were that the shower didn't have any hot water and there was noise from construction nearby quite early in the morning (somewhere else). All in all not too bad but I wouldn't stay more than one night.
This place is simply awful. Do not stay here, we were meant to stay last night and walked out straight after walking in. The room was damp, mouldy, it stunk, had chewing gum stuck in the carpet, the bed was filthy, it hadn't even been made properly. The windows were black and dirty. It was horrific. We booked through hotels.com and I'll be complaining first thing Monday morning and asking for a refund as we had to find another hotel at extremelylate notice. This hotel is basically a hostel for immigrants. It's also meant to be non smoking and that's all we could smell. You've been warned, do not stay there. We took a gamble after reading the reviews, it's a dump.
