A fantastic 1 night stay at the Tinsi during a 2 week trip travelling around Bali, the Gili's, Lombok and the Nusa's. We hired a moped for our 2 nights on Penida and it is definitely necessary to see everything you want to and is the easiest way to get around (just beware, the roads are rough!) Our cabin at the Tinsi was quite large, large double bed with mozzy net, spotlessly clean. The owners are great, so helpful, helped with our bags on arrival and brought us a welcome drink. We had dinner just down the road in a little restaurant linked to the Tinsi and the Nasi Goreng was delicious. Great location to explore the North West of the island, particularly KlingKling Beach (T-Rex Island) Fantastic price. Would recommend.

After reading so many positive reviews, we had a big expectation about our stay. But all our expectations were exceeded.
Mr. Kadek arranged a car to pick up us at the harbour and bring to the resort. The room was clean and spacious. After a long commute we were tired and hungry. Komang, our guardian angel, gave us some bananas from their garden and even himself drove to the market and purchased fresh fruits for us to enjoy during our stay.
The bed is comfy, the mattrass is soft, the small bottle of drinking water is offered daily.
Looks like everyone at The Tilsi resort is an amazing chef. During our stay we were treated with the variety of vegan food cooked just for two of us. The caring owner brought fofu and temph from the mainland of Bali to Nusa Penida so we have delicious nutritional meals.
The curry, mie goreng, nasi goreng, CapCay vegetables with tofu, fresh juices and fruits, and vegan pancakes... What a special treat!
I wish we would book @the.tinsi for at least a week.
Ask Mr. Kadek to reserve the boat tickets for you. You will get the tickets at the discounted price and his business will get some benefits as well. Win-win situation for both.
Again, we love everything about our stay. Highly recommend!

Don't hesitate to book this wonderful accommodation. We booked one night and stayed for 5 nights because we knew we wont find some to special again soon. The bungalows are spacious and clean. Aircon works well, great shower, room cleaned everyday and clean towels daily. Not that I mind but no mosquitos or creepy crawlies in the room and a big comfy bed. The grounds are absolutely pristine, the staff are constantly sweeping, nearing up & maintaining thebgrounds. The setting is so peaceful and beautiful! I know this sounds too good to be true, but I can't fault TheTinsi. The breakfast is 5 star with all the trimmings, made with care and love. Best of all, the staff are extremely attentive. Nothing is too much. They went above and beyond to make us as comfortable as possible, always with a smile & care. Nusa Penida is a beautiful island made more beautiful by the Tinsi and the wonderful staff. Special thank you to Mr Kadek (husband) for being so professional, Mrs Kadek (wife) for being so welcoming, Mrs Kadek (lovely tall lady) for the warmest smile and clean rooms and last but not least to Mr Komang Alex for taking suck great care of us. We will miss you all! The chicken satė, pasta and nasi goreng all delicious. Don't miss the banana pancakes Alex made me its amazing l! Village is as local as it comes, children playing around, local music, but calm peaceful and great to explore. You don't need to worry about a good nights sleep! Wifi is also pretty good considering you are in the middle of nowhere!

We had one night here after a trip round the island. We would definitely recommend , lovely room , great shower , comfortable bed. We ate in the little restaurant that’s connected to the hotel , the chicken curry was delicious. Breakfast was included which was also good. There’s a walk through the forest to the beach which only takes about ten minutes.

The Tinsi is a collection of bungalows in the middle of a small village near Crystal Bay beach. The walk is about 12min from your door to the water (we timed it!). On your walk you’ll spot peoples’ homes, kids playing volleyball, chickens, pigs and maybe a rambunctious puppy. I was worried it would be too far from the beach, but the walk really goes by so fast. There’s a little restaurant next door, or you can eat at the beach. There’s also a spa next door, which I highly recommend (book ahead!).
The owners are so kind. When they say 24/7 desk they mean it! They are always around and so helpful and accommodating. Honestly, it felt like we were being taken care of by our second parents, lol.
The bungalow was actually huge inside. The shower was amazing. Place was simple but clean and tidy. Make sure you don’t track sand in because it can get everywhere! The grounds are beautifully manicured and it feels like you’re staying in a little oasis. It feels very safe. There are other places to stay in the same village, but we’re happy we chose The Tinsi and would choose it again in a heartbeat!
