We have arranged to go to the pink beach and our tour starts from kuta at 6am.. is this the best time to see it in its pinkiest glory?
Unfortunately it doesn’t get any pink at all. It’s a very big exaggeration.
If you are good in photoshop editing then you could try to color it a bit with some filters to look so.
To be honest, there's no set time to see the "pink". Some locals say it can be seen late afternoon, others say in the eving. Some say it doesn't even happen every day, and that if you do see it, you're very lucky. It depends on the conditions and the light. I've been there 3 times and never seen the pink. The surrounding islands are so beautiful, so the trip for that alone is worth it. Tip: if, while on your boat tour around the islands, you see a nice deserted beach somewhere, ask the captain if he wouldn't mind stopping at it for you. Bring a packed lunch and sit under a tree on a deserted island for a picnic, then go for a swim. Better than the designated stops where all the boats stop. :)
