An absolutely fantastic experience getting to know the alpacas and taking them for a stroll! Millie, our host, was incredibly knowledgeable, super friendly and very patient with our questions. The alpacas were an absolute delight to spend time with! I can't recommend Beacon Alpacas enough, we'll definitely be back!

You can’t beat walking with alpacas in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside. Jackie and all her helpers were so welcoming and friendly, they made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We walked with Cosmo and Didier who were both lovely and very gentle and we got to feed some of the beautiful little Crias.
I can’t recommend the experience enough, it was just great and we will definitely be going again.

As well as lovely walks with the alpacas you can also spend the day learning about these gentle creatures and looking after them. Jacki, Millie and Hermione made me feel so welcome and I had a fantastic day. Highly recommended.

We arrived at Beacon Alpacas and were instantly greeted by the sight and sound of an amazing heard which was a great first taste of what was to come.
Our guide Millie was amazing and shared lots of information about the animals as well as chatting in general about the love of her job which is wonderful to see.
After a safety briefing my husband, son and I were off on the walk with Didier and Derek (who was our fave) and felt very content and confident in their presence, knowing Millie was there should we need her.
The walk was about 1 1/2 hrs and we had plenty of grass snack stops for the Alpaca. We got to see the goats and horses/pony on the way round and enjoyed the excitement from the females as the males were passing on the way back to the barn.
We were offered a warm drink after but needed to be away although appreciated the offer.
An amazing afternoon, Jackie and all the staff deserve a huge thanks for the value for money and the experience they put on.
5* would return again and again.

We had the most amazing time walking with the alpacas. The staff there are so lovely and attentive with their farm and animals. We walked with Red, they all have their own personalities and are adorable. Would 1000% recommend. Even got a cup of coffee after :)

Such a lovely thing to do. The alpacas are adorable each with different personalities. A lovely walk with Paca and Kryg leading. Very informative as well. Well worth taking a walk with alpacas. Want to do it again.

What an amazing time! Thankyou to Jackie and her family (human and Alpaca!)
Had a lovely walk around the farm with Cosmo and Didier. Beautiful weather, beautiful animals. It was just heaven!
Got to feed the boys once back and have a cup of hot chocolate!
This is an absolute must for anyone who loves Alpacas!
Would be back in a heartbeat!

Fabulous. Jackie and John are lovely, and friendly and obviously adore the Alpacas. The location is nice, peaceful and quiet. When you get there there's plenty of time to see the Alpacas then you get a talk about then and a guide to how to walk them. Then you get a nicely paced 2 mile walk which took about 1 hour, through the land around the farm. The Alpacas are lovely. They were so easy to guide and easier to walk than a dog! After the walk there is plenty of time to have photos with them. There's a nice little gift shop to buy a memento. John then served us all complimentary hot drinks. This was a present for my Mom and it was a great day out. Definitely recommended.

We had a wonderful peaceful day. The kids absolutely loved spending time with the alpacas and scenery was amazing. Not far the white horse at Kilburn so we managed to have our picnic there and walk to the top of the white horse to take in more amazing views. Perfect day

this was a surprise for my son and mother, they both loved it and can’t wait to come again. The girls who lead the walk are very knowledgeable. Walk is easy going, so can enjoy just being with the Alpacas as opposed to worrying about doing a trek.
Alpacas are well looked after, very friendly and easy to walk!

To visit ... do we need to book in or just turn up?
Are there different time slots for the walks or again do we just turn up and it happens? Thank you

Is there a nearby cafe for people who don't want to walk please.

There is a small cabin on site with drinks and I'm sure that you would be fine to sit in there. If you are unsure phone Jackie and check that this is okay, she will be able to tell you if there s a cafe nearby, she is so helpful. Enjoy the walk, you are in for a treat!

We have two Grand children 11 and 14. How much does it cost, how much time is needed for a good experience. In view of our age would we have to accompany them during the walk.

Children need to be accompanied by an adult and the cost for 1 adult and 2 children to share an alpaca is £30. The experience is about 1.5 to 2 hours
