Best “tourist” supermarket we found on the way to kassiopi/Avlaki beach. Decent size, plenty of stock and much better prices than others we tried.

Gem of Barbati
If you stay in Barbati, you are going to want to visit Super Market Nicholas. A wide-selection of everyday goods and local gems. We were fortunate to stay nearby at Verde Blu and it meant we were here often getting things. We got to know the family as a result and fell in love with their hospitality and spirit. Demetrius, Stefano, Mom and Sissy are all amazing people. They really were our own personal concierge. If they didn't have something they would help us obtain it out on town - specialty food, medicine and even transportation. They suggested a great restaurant in Old Town we loved. The same family owns the beautiful Marea Restaurant in Ipsos and Coffee Lovers up the road where we ate breakfast. So we were very lucky to stay where we did and so lucky to get the opportunity to meet this beautiful family and patronize all their wonderful establishments. Gems!

Good for essentials

A nice well stocked supermarket run by very friendly people, about 500 metres from our accommodation.

Prior to hiring a car, we did visit here to buy supplies, beers, milk etc.

Local supermarkets are the very fabric of village life and convenient for local shopping and self-catering holidaymakers who stay in resort. The sad reality is because we had a car the bulk of our shopping was done in larger cheaper supermarkets.

One of the better supermarkets in town.

Excellent Shopping

As we used this shop in 2019 on our first visit to Corfu, we were in no doubt that we would use them during our stay in September this year if we needed anything. They remembered my husband and were so grateful for us using their shop. Greece has been struggling since the start of the pandemic as tourism is what they rely on so much for their economy. I would just like to point out that they have only had just over 200 cases and 1 death in Corfu. The infection was due to a spread by a Belgian tourist. All of the shops etc are following the guidelines so we never felt unsafe popping in to get supplies. Thank you again Nicolas and see you next September.

GREAT place!

Great supermarket, amazing selection of wines and the coffee is good. The people who run the place are also really helpful. As a tourist who doesn’t speak Greek that is a great help!
You also need to check out the donuts, they are HUGE!

Had 8 days in a self catering apartment, this was definitely the place to go to get the essentials. Friendly family run business, always happy to see you. Much better than the other super market in Barbati..
