Another day another walk and today we were walking from Boston Manor tube station 🚉 all the way to Richmond tube Station 🚉.
We left Boston Manor tube and walked until we reach Boston Manor Park, from the outside it does not look that interesting, but once inside your be very surprised.
As you pass the lake, you follow the path pass the Manor, and then from out of nowhere you see and hear the M4 motorway 🛣, it’s really a sight to behold, that in this park stands a major trunk road bizarre see my picture below.
As I said the manor was not open on our visit so we carried under the M4 towards a bridge over the grand union canal, this then snakes 🐍 it’s way around near Brentford, I took a wonderful shot of one of the locks see below.
We then made our way towards the nearby Syon Park, again it wasn’t open on our visit, but we used the path to take in the wonderful vista of Syon House see below my picture.
We exited the path and we were now in isleworth, there is a lovely pub called the London Apprentice, again it wasn’t open on our visit but I bet when it is would be lovely to have a drink or bite to eat there.
Moving on, we continued pass all the boat sheds and houses that adorned this area of London, before finally making it to the Richmond Lock and Footbridge see picture below, as we walked over it the tide was very high and as my picture shows later they could have use it to manage the river flow.
So once over the footbridge we made our way up to the White Swan 🦢 pub, this hidden gem of Richmond to quench our thirst after our long walk, then the heeavns opened, and has I already mentioned on leaving the pub the river had overflowed causing the river to burst its banks now see my picture.
We then walked up through a area called Richmond Green and Little Green before making our way to the station.
So in summary, be on you BOSTON MANOR, and SYON yourself up and LOCK out for hidden gems along this fantastic walk, so go on what you waiting for.

As well as its history Boston Manor Park is a star of TV. It is crossed by the elevated section of the M4. The area below the motorway has featured in many, many TV shows. It is well worth exploring the less manicured areas of the park that go north under the flyover and down to the canal.

🏠Boston Manor House🏠 opens every weekend but only during summer seasons.
Like many estates in town, Boston Manor House started off when Henry the runaway groom seized whatever once belonged to the Pope. And like many parks in town, these gigantic greens are now for everyone.
Every attraction is restricted to its conservation status. Only the ground floor and a part of the first floor are open. You can take a glimpse of what the second floor looks like though by going halfway up the stairs. And there, you can imagine how it’s like back two hundreds ago, where you get to see the staircase's expensive multicoloured wallpaper. Dated late 18th century for its style.
Pic: ‘1623’ marked on this corner of the ceiling, the year the house was built.

Great walks, lawns & woodlands, a large pond/lake within the shadown of the House - this in itself has many unique historic features !
Easy to get to by Train, Tube & bus, even the Canal...

Great park for children has around 25 spaces for parking it does get busy. Around 4 disabled parking spaces. Fee is cheap for parking. There is a caged football bit, children's play area,a nice cosy cafe, tennis courts, an outdoor gym area and a pond to feed ducks. There is a historic house that is interesting only open certain times so check before you go. Worth a visit

Lovely park for children to play in. Great for walks, lots of squirrels and a big pond with ducks in. Historic Boston Manor house in inside the park and has a sample of very old wallpaper inside. Small car park.

This is a wonderful community asset and one of its key attractions was the reasonably price cafeteria run by the 'Friends of the Park'.
Sadly this is no more as the local council, despite its popularity have decided to let the cafe on a commercial basis - cue massive price hikes.
Equally, for those arriving by car - I would really forget it. The small car park within the park is occupied by local workers from early morning and the adjacent on-street parking is a ludicrous £1.20 per 30 minutes.
Not everyone can arrive by public transport and these two changes are an active discouragement to use this wonderful park with its duck lake, listed Boston Manor House and wonderful children's play area.

Had my son’s first birthday party here. Couldn’t have found a better venue to do it. Had a bouncy castle which looked lovely in the garden. Arrived and found the tables set out perfectly with suitable birthday party table covers.
Colourful chairs were also set out that went with the theme perfectly. Considerabley cheap (£110 from any time up until 3.30 and £20 extra for a gazebo which is a really cute and essential for parties) would defo do more parties here again. Thank you!

A hidden gem if you're in the vicinity. My grandson calls it Bunny Park because, in addition to the open green space and playground, there's a small domestic zoo, the residents of which include various breeds and sizes of rabbits. On one occasion (school holiday as I recall) there was a bouncy castle as an added attraction. As usual with such things, you pay for the time your child spends, but as it wasn't busy, they were generous with our bouncing. A small cafe close to the playground provides drinks and snacks and there's a car park close to the entrance.

I doubt it - the Park’s run by The National Trust, am fairly certain that their Policies don’t allow private barbies.!
