Spectacular views from the swaying suspension bridge
Mar 2019 • Teman
The Anlan suspension bridge near Dujiangyan is 261 metres in length. It is an important part of ancient Chinese history and is considered to be one of its five ancient bridges. The suspension footbridge, which likely has been restored many times, is made wood and rope. Its towers are made of more modern materials, possibly to better withstand earthquakes, and as can be seen from my photos are constructed with steel and reinforced concrete. During our walk, the bridge was swaying, and many people were tightly holding onto the thick upper ropes.

An ancient Chinese bridge with beautiful scenery

This place is awesome in terms of scenic beauty of pagodas, ancient temples, and a nice trail going up the forest. The suspension bridge itself is interesting, since it shakes when a lot of people are walking on it, kind of fun.

Link between inner and outer Min River

260 meters long, good views of the fast flowing and deep river, the lovely mountainous backdrop but best of all, there's a nice quiet tea house on other side.
There's a daily show at 11 am too (180 RMB) which is supposed to be good, outside the far entrance/exit near here.

One of China's 5 Great Ancient Bridges
Feb 2016
Located at the mouth of Yuzui water dividing dyke, Anlan (husband and wife) Suspension Bridge is a sight to see and experience. The 320 m long span was once a suspended bamboo-plank-rope style bridge that connected one side of the river to the other. The present day bridge is modern, but I am surel gives you the same feelings that early citizens experienced 1000's of years ago. Be sure and cross the river to visit historical Qinyan Tower and Erwang Temple. Be sure to wear good shoes. There's a lot of up and down.

This is a walking bridge over the main waterway in the area. It can swing a bit if lots of people so many giggles and screams when it moves abit. Access to Yulie Mtn park can be done by using this bridge.

A delicious meal for sure. The staff was very attentive to all of our needs. I love to eat in an open kitchen atmosphere and the Chef was there to greet us and to talk to us about our meal. It is a bit pricey but well worth the experience.
