Nice beach and snorkelling

Visited for a day on the beach and snorkelling. There is a diving hire shop here which is cheap enough. It’s a sheltered small bay ideal for snorkelling plenty of fish to see and nice beach.

A beach to snorkel from

We came here to snorkel and weren't disappointed, even though it was a particularly windy day with choppy waters. There are several entry points in this sheltered little bay, and there is fish aplenty to watch. A few loungers and umbrellas, and toilets and showers make this little beach attractive.

great beach on the walk way to the centre

great little beach you can see fishermen fishing from the rocks. Not ideal for lying on but some seats provided can be quite windy

lovely clean beach lots of cafes and restaurants around quite busy but very safe for children nice and flat to walk about

Don't feed the fish!!

Lovely small beach with easy access to the sea. Great for snorkeling but our experience was ruined by a family feeding the fish bread. Why would you do that? It makes the animals dependent on humans and undermines the wonder of seeing wild animals in their natural state. Ignorant and damaging behaviour. Please don't do it.

Great family beach near town.

Beautiful little beach easily accessable from the town. Fantastically clear waters full of fish a snorkler's paradise. The beach is nice and sandy if a little small but ideal for families as protected from any big waves from the open sea.

Beautiful, natural beach with clear waters and hundreds of fish to swim with

Not a large beach and parts have rocks. This is a wholly natural beach, not some area that's been cleared out by humans, landscaped and filled with planted trees and sunbeds.

The sand is soft and warm even in March, and the waters are so inviting and clear. One gets a sense of being close to nature here, it calms the soul.

And those waters.....take goggles and preferably a snorkel and just a minute's swim away are shoals of fish including some unusual tropical species. Gentle currents so the water is safe for novice swimmers. If you have an underwater camera, you'll kick yourself for not bringing it.

There are showers at both ends of the beach and toilets at one end. When my wife and I went in mid March 2022 there was a mix of adults and families with kids, all enjoying the delights of this beach. From the rock pools at the edge where the toddlers plodged around to the ocean where people were swimming and snorkelling.

Great Snorkelling in crystal clear, calm waters

We tested out this beach today (January), and it was amazing! The rocks far out create a barrier from big waves so the waters are really calm and crystal clear. There are loads of fish to see whilst snorkelling. At high tide it is great to see them gather by rocks, and at low time you can walk SO far out and still stand up, and see your feet. You could swim across the width of the bay pretty easily. A great place for snorkelling, and I’d also suggest for anyone who is nervous swimming / in the sea, who wants to gain confidence in very safe feeling waters. The beach wasn’t overcrowded and you felt safe leaving your possessions to go for a swim. Bins, showers for rinsing off, and toilets available. There is a snorkelling/diving hire shop on the beach front as well as plenty of beach shops and restaurants within easy reach. Parking also plentiful (and free) - you don’t get this in England!

Lovely quiet beach

The beach doesn't look like it's up to much and for that reason it wasn't busy. The advantages there - plenty of space to sunbathe, and felt safe to leave belongings to go snorkelling. Fantastic waters with beautiful fish. Good facilites, loos, and the cocktail bar nearby. Spend 3 of our beach days there. Ecellent place to visit!

Beautiful big marine pool full of fishes

Absolutely stunning enormous marine pool with loads of fishes, sandy beach and safe - we swan here several times a day and it was glorious :)
