An amazing experience. Situated on a prime sliver of beach, we had an absolutely sublime experience. The food and service was great. A must try if in the area!

Terrible Moment

Went with my 5 years daughter. Restaurant were not full and several tables for 4 or 5 people only availble. Therefore, they said there was no tables for us and they were willing to put us down to the beach in the plastic tables with almost 30°degrees. Don't go, staff is terrible!

Cafe/bar in the beach. We visited here several times throughout our stay and always found the staff friendly.
There are a few umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach directly in front of the cafe and lifeguards on duty. Staff remembered that we didn’t like lemon in our cokes after the first visit. Free parking along the beach and not very busy,
Highly recommend.

Hidden Gem a short train ride from Palermo

Visited during peak season, lido was not too busy. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. 25 euros for 3 very comfortable beds and umbrella for the day. Food and drinks very reasonably priced. We had panini and they were fresh and delicious. The beach is very clean and the water very clear. Highly recommend if you want to get away from the crowded beaches around Palermo.

Lovely beach bar with good food

Really nice beach bar with very friendly staff and some super food. We went here a few times and my only issue is that after paying €15 for two beds and an umbrella, you shouldn't then also have to pay for the shower also. Only €1 but still. Free wi-if would be a nice touch too

Family holiday in Sicilia.

It's a long story so I will keep it short.

One of my twin sons went missing on the beach, Thomas.

After a while my wife and I decided now we need to act.

All of the beach community, lifeguards, coastguard and police were involved.

He was found by Manfredo the son of this family run business.

The emotion was unbelievable as you can imagine, when losing ones son being only 9 years of age and imagining the worst might have happened.

The whole beach cheered as Thomas emerged safely from the beach roadside and ran to Mummy then Daddy and his siblings.

I thanked Manfredo and pledged to be back later to eat at the beach side restaurant.

We arrived at 8:30 and had an incredible meal with Manfredo's mothers pasta served by the entire family. Truly awesome flavours made with love. 5 people €65 amazing value too.

I learnt later that they closed at 8 but must have stayed open for us exclusively!

It's safe to say that I was attached emotionally to this place for obvious reasons and might not have met them If not for the missing son.

However in truth this place shows the warmth and love of the Sicilian people. They are so passionate and look out for each other. Their food is made with love and in my opinion is some of the best in the world.

When the whole family said goodbye I shed several tears. We exchanged numbers and gifts.

Lido Giglio and Sicilia you made our holiday thank you!

Relaxed beach bar at the end of a nice beach

We rented sun beds here and parked our car for free just next to the place. The kids helped themselves with ice cream. Easy access to toilets. When we got hungry, we got a nice table to have lunch. The food was good, although the pasta with mussels was too salty. Nice and relaxed people. The ice coffe was excellent. The beach is sandy with some rocks. You can go far out without the water getting too deep. The kids loved playing in the waves.

This family run seafront bar/snack bar & sunbathing area is without doubt one of the friendliest places you could ever want to visit with the added bonus of superb food at very good prices. Sit,relax,soak up the sun & dine with lovely people. The girl behind the bar is Stephanie, the cook is her mother & her brother helps out waiting tables.

Great little beach bar.

Stayed in Cefalu but spent most days travelling out to this stretch of beach. Only 8km from centre of Cefalu. Found this little beach bar and they are just lovely people. €10 for a couple of beds and and an umbrella. Great panini's and lovely clean toilets/showers/changing areas. Used it on our final 1/2 day before we flew late in the evening. Attentive service throughout. Better than most restaurants in town. If you go there, ask for a 'Menzies' - a cold coffee frappucino type drink served in a huge beer class. Yummy.

Overall, a great cheap and friendly beach bar.
