Our girls had great fun and we’re in really safe hands with the instructors. My only regret is not joining in. Deffo next time though!

In one word, brilliant. My three children had never surfed before and had an absolute amazing experience. Loved it so much, there's talk of purchasing surf boards etc. Hot chocolate and a chocolate cookie at the end of the lesson was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend Blackfield Surf School.

Fantastic experience, excellent customer service. 3 kids including two teens did the one day surf camp. Instructors were excellent.

I signed up two boys aged 13 and 14 for the surfing lessons which they really enjoyed. The instructors were really attentive and made the lessons great fun.

My husband and I had a fab surf lesson with Fionn. Caoimhe was also super helpful. We will definitely be back. We learnt more in 2 hours than we have ourselves in the last 2 years. Highly recommend.

12 yr old newbie son loved it - wonderful instruction with fun and engaging tutors. Great value for money.

Adult surf got cancelled due to no waves We were offered an alternate date or a refund and choose the refund. This was processed immediately and with no issues We had also booked a children's surf and this went ahead. They ranged from 11 - 9 and absolutely loved it! My son rated it as 10/10 and the hot chocolate and biscuits after the session was 1000% appreciated by them all. We caused a bit of an issue on arrival by going to the wrong surf company in error. By the time it was identified almost 30 mins had passed Blackfield still gave the children their full slot and were very professional and so accommodating even though the error was totally ours. Communication with the company was excellent throughout from initial booking to the refund . I would definitely recommend.

Blackwater is just the best at teaching surfing ! The staff are so so friendly !!! So professional and excellent at what they do ! They know all the kids name after 5 minutes ! Top class ! You will not be disappointed !

What a shared experience for the family. Fantastic customer service started with phone comms with Caoimhe. Really set the tone. minded and guided by the instructors at all times, having care for our personal safety and other beach goers safety. Our kids throughly enjoyed the day. Couldn’t find a more perfect place on earth to try your hand at surfing. People make the experience and the people running blackfield surfing delivered with spades. As we say in Cork ‘Savage’!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to all. We’ve banked that memory.

Is this for kids only? Your website seems to be focused on kids below 16. Kindly inform me if adults are also allowed and the cost for surf lessons.

Hi there-thanks for your question.
Our surf school is a fully approved Irish Surfing Association school and we have a reputation amongst our customers for excellence in our approach.
Over many years, our reputation as being a fantastic school for children has lead many parents to entrust their children to us, and kids under the age of 16 form a large part of our business as we would be without question the premier school for the provision of safe, advanced learning for this age group.
If you look at the picture on the front page of our website however, you will see that it is not only for kids under 16!
We also provide lessons for all ages and have had octogenarians come and surf with us.We regularly have couples, groups of friends and other adult groups visit us.
We are happy to answer questions on any booking that you might wish for in 2017, as we are closed for the season from today until May 2017.Lessons after that date can be booked online at blackfield com
