Such a lovely walk, really peaceful and beautiful. Also leads down to the gorgeous beach. Well maintained with lovely views of Alvor.

A lovely walk into town from our hotel with great views of the sea and easy access to the beautiful beach. An added bonus are the many good restaurants dotted along the boardwalk.

we have walked across the marshes over many years and it is a lovely experience which we repeat every year. There are a number of routes that you can take including one that takes you back to the harbour

Great attraction in Alvor. Easily accessible and close to the Main Street. You can follow the boardwalk and do a loop or keep going on the trail to explore the lighthouse at the end of the pier. Plenty of walkers and runners out enjoying the scenery

Lovely sandy beach and even nicer secluded beaches to be found beyond the spectacular rock formations. Nice boardwalk and harbour area. We visited beautiful city of Lagos and took a lovely boat trip up to Silves.

The boardwalk spans a nature reserve and leads to an outstanding undeveloped part of the amazing beach at Alvor. We saw locals foraging in the inlets, adorable little birds fluttering and chirping overhead, fascinating plants and to cap it off there’s gorgeous wild sea holly growing in the dunes and on the beach. Extremely pleasant way to spend a couple of hours connecting with nature. Ommmm…

Absolutely stunning. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area. Beautiful views. If you go to the left of the beach and around the cliffs (if the tide is out enough of course) there's a smaller beach and a really nice beach bar.

Bonjour, vous pouvez rejoindre les passerelles depuis plusieurs endroits, en partant de Portimao jusqu'à Alvor vous avez plusieurs routes qui partent sur la gauche et rejoignent des parkings situés souvent juste à côté des passerelles. Bonne balade !!

Qual o melhor sitio para começar a caminhada pelos passadiços? Tentei hoje pels praia dos 3 irmãos mas só vi caminho de madeira com cerca 1km de extensão. Depois terminou. Para que lado devo ir para fazer a totalidade do percurso?

Christine, We stayed on the top floor of the Pestana Alvor Atlantico Residences (see my Trip Advisor report at the beginning of June). Other nearby hotels right on the beach/boardwalk are the Pestana Dom Joao and Luna Alvor Bay. Before you go there, check out my Alvor restaurant reviews, also in June.

I think you are referring to time of your versus time of day. Spring or fall really when the migrating birds pass thru this area on their path. I prefer spring
