Very special experience taking a swim in this beach. Small geysers, hot water and smell of sulfur (not annoying as far as I'm concerned) are the main features of this beach. Also if you start digging a little under the rocks go and fish for some sludge residue to use on the body. Very nice experience and definitely a must if you are in Vulcano

Place to visit, experience to do but in the island you feel an excruciating heat, the smell of sulfur is almost asphyxiating, the beach nice but nothing big. While we were there a tornado rose on the beach, which made us run away. All in all experience to do, you see the distance the volcano that puts gases continuously. In the water there are points where the water boils, not very safe but still no one forbids you to approach.

On the isthmus that connects the peninsula of Vulcanello with the rest of the island of Vulcano, on both sides are its two most famous and popular beaches (also because a stone’s throw from the port): the one that looks east is precisely the beach of Acque Calde (the other is Baia Negra). In my opinion it is the best, for the less dark color of the sand of coarse grain size (I do not like very much the gray / black beaches and those with particularly fine sand) as a purely gray bottom is joined by yellowish fragments due to the disintegration of the hill that closes the bay to the south, and that overall give the beach a brown / bronze appearance; for the color of the water and then especially for its peculiarity, that is the fact that the water is generally less cold and becomes just warm in certain places, in particular around the large central polla or in the southern sector (right), where the sea water mixes with that of the thermal mud pond (here it takes on a milky turquoise color, therefore opaque, which does not allow you to see the bottom, so you have to move with caution, perhaps with rock shoes because on the bottom there are stones). Everywhere, however, in the water you notice thin "threads" of bubbles rising from the sandy bottom. The landscape is also good, despite the buildings that can be seen on the back beach, with the large cone of the main crater of the island on the right, under which is the corrugated sulfur mountain, while on the left you can see the low profile of the crater of Vulcanello and further away the island of Lipari (if you climb the aforementioned sulfur mountain - there is a continuous coming and going of people - you will see even further the characteristic shape of the island of Salina). The beach is not very large and the central part is occupied by an establishment, but there is still enough free beach on the sides (but that probably will not be enough in periods of greater tourist influx).

Wide beach, reachable on foot from the port, in the center of which a jet of hot water rises. But the whole milky bay simmers with small jets of sulphurous activity. Poor visibility of the bottom and risks to the feet due to the submerged rocks.
You can bathe and swim with caution, because the sulphurous water is harmful to the eyes and to those with respiratory diseases. Nearby, a spa has been under construction since 2019 and never completed.

Hi, I was with the family, what about white sand, sea with jets of sulfur that are easily noticeable, excellent for mud, just dig to find it and spread it on the skin, wait for it to dry and it's done. Recommended

Questa spiaggia è la più vicina al porto, da cui dista un centinaio di metri o poco più. In questo periodo non è particolarmente pittoresca in quanto non ancora attrezzata, con qualche catamarano qua e là ancorato al largo e bollicine gorgoglianti in mezzo al mare in alcuni punti dovuti all'attività sismica sottomarina. Colpisce le narici il forte odore di zolfo che proviene da esalazioni vicine.

Appena scesi ci ha colpito il forte odore di zolfo! Ci ha subito affascinato per le montagne di lava e zolfo che ti accolgono già all’arrivo, siamo subito andati alla spiaggia delle solfatare, nera un mare azzurro e l’acqua che ribolliva anche vicino la riva. Un bagno davvero emozionante che ci ha colpito moltissimo, vale il viaggio e la scoperta di questa isola affascinante!

La spiaggia non è ben tenuta, con ombrelloni e lettini sporchi e vecchi, l'acqua di un bell'azzurro ma purtroppo sporca .

L'effet jacuzzi et sources chaudes sont très agréables et amusants , mais les cailloux/galets glissant et pointu compliquent un peu la tâche.

Esperienza molto simpatica in questa spiaggia completamente vulcanica.
L'acqua è calda ed è possibile ammirare diversi punti del fondale da cui emergono bollicine.
Non c'è assolutamente il mare cristallino della Sicilia, ma se siete a Vulcano un passaggio va fatto.
