Magnificent

We were in Montefalco and bought a ticket to see a church and a museum. The ticket also included entrance to many other museums including Bevanga and Trevi. We went and saw the other two as well. The inside of the San Francesco church is also being used as a Museum for many church artifacts. Tons of stuff from the 13th century. Very unique and well worth your time

Magnificent!

We headed to Trevi as we were staying nearby in Spello and were considering a home exchange nearby. We didn't think it would be any comparison to the upscale and well cared for Spello, and in some ways it was true. But as we stumbled upon the museum and connected tiny church of St. Francis, Wow! The first part of the museum has many pieces of stone work and art dating anywhere from the 1200's and later. Then you get an entire education on olives, olive oil and the processing. Fortunately much was in English, and it was a stunning display! Then we found through some closed doors (I'm not sure I would have found had my husband had not been so inquisitive). This church was honestly the most incredible I have seen yet (very small and yet so ornately done and still under renovation). So beautiful! This is a must see and I think it cost us a total of 8 euros to see.

Disappointed since we traveled so far and it was closed

Looks like a beautiful church high upon a hill overlooking Perugia, Spello but it was closed. Loved the town of Trevi but as someone else said, it is somewhat abandoned. Perhaps because it was mid August and lots were taking "Ferie".

Gorgeous Church!

This church has so much to offer. While it is no longer a working church, and is the home of conferences and concerts, it is incredibly beautiful inside. (Please note it is closed on Monday.) Connected to it is an olive oil museum which is quite interesting, as well as an art museum. All were very fascinating and not to be missed especially the ex-votos display in the art museum. We arrived early and were basically alone in all the three venues. I believe we paid 4 euros entrance fee, and it was well worth it.

We had this perched village all to ourselves!

The church was worth a short visit, but not being very religious, we spent our time roaming the little hilltop village. (TripAdvisor should list these small towns as their own destination worthy of reviews.)
This casual day visiting hilltowns was to our liking. Perhaps because we got to Trevi, no relation to Rome’s fountain of the same name, early, we loved it. No tourist crowds.
We drove up a grade and entered the village, easily finding a parking spot in the main square. This Trevi takes its name from the three streets that once met in front of it (tre vie). Not far off the autostrada a few kilometers above Spoleto, it doesn’t lure a lot of the tourist trade. There is only one hotel in the town, a 12-room inn.
On the main square we admired the statues dedicatd to the city’s war heroes long gone. A small tourist office had little to offer in the English language, proof again this was not a regular stopping place.
We walked the old streets, took pictures of laundry on the lines, admired nooks and crannies round most every corner. A lone crane reached skyward, apparently on duty to work on an old building. There were no new ones.
Because modern conveniences were limited, it was a challenge to find a toilet, as they call them in this area. This town offered genuine old Italy. It was not easy to find a postcard. Restaurants were limited here, so we decided to have lunch in the next hilltop village. The church bell rang loudly to honor our departure about noon.

Simple, mystical, connected to a complex including a pinacoteca and oil museum

This is a simple but lovely church with beautiful wood work, painting and an organ. Built soon after the death of San Francis is worth a visit. With the modest price of entrance you can visit a pinacoteca and an oil museum, both very interesting.

Church was sadly closed but we got a look around the lovely town of Trevi on market day
Mei 2016 • Pasangan
It's confusing why some towns close churches for certain periods other than lunchhtime, while others do nonsuch thing. It's not about security as much of vitally has man churches open throughout the day. It takes very little effort to keep a church open, and if costs are a factor, then perhaps they should ask for some helpmate clearly outhouse entering.

In an case, we made our way around a lovely town , with its own theatre and strong communal energy emanating everywhere on market day: a fun visit despite missing the two closed churches.

We came to Trevi to hear an evening concert in the church (part of the Trasimeno Music Festival with Angela Hewitt). We went over in the afternoon to see the art in the church -- (practically the only ones there) -- and got treated to hearing a rehearsal for the evening concert.
