Great walking path with beautiful views. Can get crowded so be patient. There are plenty of places to stop and grab food, etc on your way. It passes most of the popular hotels in the area.

This is a paved walking path starting/ending just past the Fairmont Kea Lani for approximately 2 miles and stretches beyond the Andaz. The walking path is between hotels and private residences on one side and the ocean on the other. There are multiple areas along the way to get down to the beach if you want to walk along the ocean. It can get pretty crowded in the morning with walkers and runners so you just need to be aware. Every one is really polite though and it is very safe and an easy walk.

I wasn't able to walk the entire path but caught the middle area several times. It's an easy to walk path right by the Ocean and beach front resorts. Provides a great place to see Turtles as they play in the surf or come on the rocks to rest.

Perfect for a stroll along resorts. It is about 1.5 miles long. Not good for running at all when busy. Runs from Andaz to Fairmont. Beautiful sunrise and sun set views.

I have walked this path many many times. It is beautiful, a new beach and hotel is around every bend. It is also a great way to go to The Shops at Wailea

Beautiful path to walk skirting the resorts of Wailea. Sometimes could be crowded. A few places along the path to grab a coffee or snack (one of the hotel restaurants/kiosks). Great walk at sunset.

Love that is connects the hotels in the area. We had a luau at the Hotel Andaz but had to detour because the walkway was washed out. Hopefully it gets fixed. The "locals" get upset when you walk too slow!

This is an easy walk past beautiful resorts. Ocean views are gorgeous. It's not for beach access, but more for watching how the other 2% live.

Nice 3 mile path with great views. This is the ideal place to chill. Plenty of spots for pictures and a picnic.

We are staying at the Wailea Marriott. I love to walk in the sand on the edge of the beach. Is this a possibility? If so, how long is the beach walking area?

To walk along the beach at waters edge is difficult due to the areas of lava rock that you are unable to get by. If you stay on the path (which runs along the beach, the path is a little over a mile). It runs along the back of the hotels starting at the Andaz and continues along all the hotels. You can get down to the beach at various points along the path.

It's paved from the south end of Wailea to the Andaz Resort, about 3 miles I believe. After Andaz you have to walk on the beach.

Yes, the path is all along the ocean side of the hotel. The path runs about 1.5 miles to the south, and maybe about 1 mile to the north when starting from the Marriott. Going south you'll pass a number of other resorts (Four Seasons, etc.) with some nice restaurants. You'll also pass a number of beaches (Wailea Beach, Polo Beach, etc.). North will bring you by some vacation condo resorts, and more nice beaches ... but not much in the way of restaurants.
BTW, while walking along the path ... fix your eyes on the ocean, especially in the morning ... you may catch a glimpse of humpback whales as they migrate in the channel between the islands.

You drive past Wailea mall parking and take a right to the next side street and there's free parking for the beach and it's right there. If you have a smartphone and put this address in it should take you there- 3850 Wailea Alanui Dr Kihei

I'm not sure of the rating, but it is a very nice stroll. We walked it every day, especially from the 4 Seasons to the shops at Wailea to get a sandwich at Whaler's Market and a coffee at Starbucks.
