Interesting And Historical
Apr 2021
Not only did I drive up and visit the site, which I found fascinating, but also I rode my bicycle up the road which provided me at least one 12% grade. Yes, there was traffic but it wasn't too bad during the week and they were very respectful. It was worth both trips! Be sure to wear sun screen, a hat, and other sun protection. It can get warm there.

Definitely a great stop and educational.

Excellent stop & educational. Can only imagine how much better it will be when the rangers give their talks after COVID.

Amazing Historical views!

My husband and I visited while on vacation on our way to flagstaff. It was amazing. The history and placards were great for people like us who enjoy to read it. The only reason I couldn’t give it a 5 was the price. Over priced for such a small area.

Neat Monument

My husband and I checked out this national monument on our trip through Arizona. It's a castle that is in a cliffside where an Indian tribe lived 700 years ago. They used ladders to get into it. The national park service has owned it since 1904 and did inside tours until the 1950s. Today, you're not allowed inside and can only view it from the sidewalk below. The visitor center and gift shop were open. We got in for free with the national park pass. Without it, it's $10 per adult.

Was on our list but could have easily gone without seeing it. Two interesting views, not much else here. Kids were not into it adults were underwhelmed. If U r a history buff u may get much more out of it. Took less than 10 min to see the highlights. A bit surprised by the $10pp fee. Luckily kids under 15 are free so we “only” paid $20. A fee of $5 per family would have been better fitting it one had to charge at all.

Interesting, but not a priority
Apr 2021 • Keluarga
I would not make this monument a priority, but it was still nice to visit. Stroller for friendly, which is nice for littles. The monument is very cool to look at, but the younger kids I observed weren’t entertained for too long. If you read all the informational signs, and see everything, you can be in and out in 20-30 minutes, depending on how long you want to stare at the castle or ruins. Masks are only required when purchasing tickets, on a small observation platform, and the gift shop.

TIP: buy the $80 National Park Pass! We saved $100 in park fees within 2 hours of Flagstaff and that didn’t even include the Grand Canyon!

On the last day of our trip, we were thinking we were National parked out, but decided to stop because it was so easy to get off and on the interstate.

Definitely NOT disappointing!

What an amazing structure - 1/3 mile paved walking trail and several great picture oops! Amazing what our ancestors had to do to live!!

Amazing structure, boring park
Apr 2021 • Keluarga
I don’t want to seem unappreciative of this park. The main scene is the historic dwelling which is pretty amazing, actually. To have a structure like that withstand time and imagining the work put into it is unbelievable. The park itself is boring, sorry. There is a display that shows what the dwelling would have looked like, and that was interesting. The gift shop was too warm for my mask. We used our America the Beautiful pass for free entry.
