Please take advantage of this awesomely inexpensive and efficient way of getting around. You can quickly learn your way around the French Quarter via the Streetcars and the connecting bus lines. Buy a full day pass, three day or five, to save yourself a ton of money by hopping on and off to nearly all your destinations through the downtown area as well as the Garden District.

Enjoyed the street car ride from Canal St thru Downtown past the warehouse district, the Garden district, and beyond, before reversing the route back to Canal St. Seniors pay 40 cents for the ride. Cheap way to see

We love riding the streetcars in NOLA. $1.25 exact change (or passes available). It's not speedy transportation, but no better way to see the INCREDIBLE homes along St. Charles Ave.

The street cars are sort of a novelty. You have to have exact change, $1.25 per ride or $3 for all day pass, they're loud and packed. It was warm so on the way back we took an Uber for an extra $4. Do it once to say you did....sorta like walking down Bourbon St.

This streetcars system is very affordable around 1.50 per person. Cars are clean and the staff very friendly and willing to answer your location questions. Is a tour itself y you get all the route. Good photo ops along the route. Is safe. I strongly suggest to gibe a try.

The streetcars are nostalgic and make for a great way to see the city. We traveled between the Garden District and the French Quarters a few times using the streetcars. At $1.25 for one ride and $3.00 for a day pass, it's the best way to get around.

We went all over the city using the RTA Streetcars. They are a lot of fun and very economical. Parking in New Orleans is very expensive, so we opted to leave the car at the hotel and go everywhere via the streetcars. The WWII museum is one block from a stop, as well as Bourbon Street, the St. Louis Cemetary, the Aquarium and the Paddle Wheeler, as well as many other sites.

Took the streetcar out to The Garden district. This was on a Sunday so there were lots of people riding. The driver tried her best to get people on but many times had to pass up large groups of people waiting.
The schedule says a streetcar comes by every 15 min but not this day. We waited at least 30 -45 min. but again it was very busy.
Suggest you use this transportation option ($3) all day pass but don't be in a hurry!

Yes you will need to walk to St Charles St and get on the street car there. The street car system will take you where you want to go.

Yes...you deposit 80 cents exact change in the fare box and request a Senior Jazzy Pass. A card will be issued good for 24 hours.
Or you can upload the Le Pass app on your phone and purchase a Senior Jazzy Pass with a credit card. The Jazzy Pass will display for 24 hours, and you show the drive your phone screen as you board.
The driver does not make change, nor does the fare box...exact change only. You must show your photo ID with date of birth to purchase a Senior Jazzy Pass.

There should be an RTA sign on the corner- however the trolley line is shortened for repairs. I think it's a bus you catch from your hotel location and they will drop you off at the stop for the actual trolley. check with your hotel desk.

Hi , just drive to St. Charles Ave. From downtown go toward the garden district for about 15 blocks. In that area all the side streets are free parking. So you might be a block or two from the St Charles streetcar.
