This trail is amazing. From the market area downtown you can walk/hike/bike over 6 miles to the Dam Bridge. So much to see along the river and some great sculptures along the way.

This was a very nice trail for walking and enjoying the view. I really enjoyed it. It was not very crowded and it was a nice way to spend some time.

We really enjoyed our E-Bike ride around the loop from N Little Rock The worst part was signage as we approached Down town Little Rock from the Big Dam Bridge. We took several wrong turns before finally finding our way to the Clinton Ped Bridge

I have bicycled around the U.S. and this is one of the best trails for outdoor walking, running, or biking that I have been on. Many bridges to cross back and forth on the Arkansas River. It is well maintained.

We only did a small portion of this. We had a great time walking and looking at the statues and sculptures There are huge sculptures and tiny sculptures everywhere. They blend in and stand out. This is a beautiful state.

It's a lovely ride all the way around, except for a portion behind the Dillards headquarters where you have to ride a few blocks on the street. Hopefully, one day the trail will be complete. The North Little Rock side is more wild and scenic than the Little Rock side. Today there were white pelicans diving for fish in a little river inlet. The trail is often deserted. I've done the loop countless times and never seen any of the "vagrants" noted by another reviewer. There are a couple of well-maintained bathrooms along the way. The trail and river are two of the best things about Little Rock. It takes about two hours to complete the 17 miles.

The Arkansas River Trail is a year-round location for outdoor exercise or just to clear your head! Oasis within the city with access to the river, public golf and plenty of locations for libations and recreation.

This is one of the nicest river trails I have visited. The park for kids along the trail was the best kid park I have seen, with climbing boulders, water fountains, tunnels, slides and ladders. The music venue sites along the trail were nice. The sculptures along the way were really nice. It was nice that you could walk from downtown to the presidential library and across pedestrian bridges.

Yes, the trail is great for rollerblading especially on the Little Rock side from 430 bridge east to Cantrell Rd.

Capital hotel is a good historic stay. Otherwise you got double tree hotel and Marriott little rock near the trail.On the North side you have some other options. Check for events and possible construction before you go. They've been updating parts recently and had some detours.

That trail goes on both the little rock side and North side for a ways. It depends on where your at. There are areas that you can access the river,like the burns park area, by the soccer fields or close to the dog park area. But like already mentioned the current it very strong. Use water fountains or bring a small bowl and some water.

Last one: noticed some said stay away from the north side due to gangs and homeless people.. is there a way to go around or should we just be aware and have protection?

I heard about the gangs too before I went. No such worries. Never saw anyone like that. It's a great trip and trail. I called the local bike shop on where to start. That's what I always do when riding a new trail out of town. Enjoy it. Beautiful trail. I like the area away from downtown the best. Best of success to you

Depends on where you enter the trail. Most anywhere along the river on either side (other than downtown Little Rock) the trail is easily found.
If downtown LIT you can enter it at the Clinton Presidential Library. Burns Park is another location, on the North side of the river. Then there is the Big Dam Bridge on the North side and the Little Dam Bridge on the South side to the west of downtown. All of these should be easily found on your GPS.
