I ended up in the hospital twice. The only bar where I got intoxicated at the age of 33. I've lived in NY for 9 years and for all those years it never occurred to me what happened there. Drinks are unreliable. I have frequented this bar for over 7 years . And twice in less than 6 months, last year, I ended up being taken away by ambulance. Same bartender both times. But they blamed me for what happened and banned my entry. I have friends who frequent this place and today I was at a friend's farewell. I entered the bar without any problem, they checked my document and let me in. I hadn't ordered anything and I wasn't even going to drink because I don't trust this bar but they insisted on throwing me out. Omar, or Homar I don't know what he's called, the same bartender who got me in trouble both times. Since I attended this bar without him serving me and that had never happened. Anyway. I'm completely disappointed. They never even made a point of knowing if I was okay. a small place, that only accepts cash, that doesn't give you any proof of what you drank. They told me to leave, saying that the owner, Liza, whom I never spoke to or saw, was responsible for my not being able to enter. Cubbyhole is not a safe place. And if anything happens to you, Woman, queer, they won't support you.

Even if you go alone it will make you feel welcome, there's a lot of friendly folks. The space is a little bit small but they have good music and drinks.
