Zwirner has a Kusama show that features an Infinity Room, a mirrored room decorated with Kusama’s signature colored circles. Lots of fun. Perfect for young children.

“Kusama exhibit and infinity room were fun”

We went to the Zwirner Gallery in NYC to see the Kusama exhibit. We waited a 1/2 hour for the infinity room (during the day on a random Thursday) but it was worth it. Seeing the exhibit including the pumpkin exhibit was a lot of fun especially since you can get up close to it. Free to enter.

Diane Arbus Show

I checked out the Diane Arbus show at the David Zwirner Gallery. It attempts to replicate the famous/infamous 1972 Arbus retrospective at MOMA that shocked the New York art scene. Lovely gallery space right next to Chelsea Piers and the High Line on 19th Street. Well worth exploring the gallery if in the 'hood. Of course, it is free, but parking a car may be challenging.

That's the worse experience ever

I drove with my family to the city for an hour, found a parking spot after 30 min, then walk to the exhibit and stood online at 3:55 pm.. they came to tell us that they will not let more people come in .. (note that they close at 6 pm) .. horrible and rude people hired outside the museum..

While the art was interesting, every staff member we encountered at David Zwirner gallery was totally rude and for no reason. I understand they have a job to protect the art, but kindness and a smile would have provided a much better experience. I asked the person at the front desk when I was leaving if I could leave a suggestion in the book. His response was yes but they would just rip it out. Case in point.

Worth The Line Up

The art of Yayoi Kusama was a joy to see. Be prepared however that after an hour wait ( some have lined up for four hours!) on a cold day you may be in need of a restroom - but they will tell you that they don’t have one.

The Yayoi Kusama exhibition was great. But we waited almost one hour on the line. Once we entered inside they gave us very limited time to visit the exhibition. I did a video of 30 seconds and later I heard one person saying "last 10 seconds"...
Anyway it was a good experience.
