Great Staff, Great Views and good golf course. I have played here before and course was not in as good a shape as I remember. Grens a bit grainy and fairways not as good as I remember. That being said, it is still Maui golf. Fantastic views and good time great practice area and pace of play was really good. It is easier and more playable than Plantation course, but still well worth price ($169).

Love the Bay Course for several reasons; very well maintained, great staff, a challenge but doesn't beat you up, and the beauty as some holes is just fabulous. You can see turtles, whales and fish. The beauty is a distraction and just what you want on a trip to Maui. Well worth the cost to play here.

First time golfing in Maui and could not have been more impressed with The Bay Course at Kapalua Bay! Course was in great shape and the many holes with ocean views were stunning. We played a twilight round and the signature 17th hole over the ocean at sunset was indescribable! Recommend to anyone looking to play golf in Maui, you will not find a more beautiful course :)

You pay top dollar here without the equivalent level of service. Some of the staff were great, but there was much left to be desired. To start we got little instruction as to which of the many driving range tees we should use to warm up. Then, with no signs anywhere directing us to the first tee, we were left trying to find guidance while our tee time came and went. Once on the course, things didn’t improve. There were workers all over the course, many with no regard for the fact we were trying to golf. Had a pair of workers zip by within 10 ft of me in a golf cart as I was preparing to hit the ball. Of a couple of different holes workers worked in the green side bunkers even as we were hitting approach shots. They did instruct us that they did away with snack carts before we started. The course was also not marshaled as we waited on every shot for the twosome ahead of us.

Great views wonderful staff and good conditions all cannot overcome the horrendous routing and land use. Also one of the most unwelcoming layouts for physically challenged. I did not finish 6 holes as it was a 50+ yard walk to my ball if hit to the side away from the cart path. The cart shut down if you got within 50 yards of the green in some places.

Not that I needed fast greens, I just expected them to be a little quicker. The warm-up range was a bit crowded when we got there but it eventually thinned out. Winds made it tricky to judge what clubs to use. When I stopped caring about my score and just enjoyed being in Maui on a golf course, things got better! Great views

had a great round in a Tuesday afternoon, not crowded at all so we were able to take time making shots and taking pictures, lots of. Picturesque #17 hole over the cliff, just take your breath away. thoroughly enjoyed it.
Not able to use the resort coupon (only good for morning rounds), $200+ with rider, maybe it's worth it ? (played south course at Torre Pine for $165 (morning round) and they don't charge riders and the views are quite comparable)

We had the pleasure of playing this course twice while staying in Maui. The golf academy is top notch with a large practice area. The starter and rangers keep the course running on time, but never make you feel rushed. The views are spectacular.

We played the Bay course, as the Plantation was under construction for 9 months. After driving by the Plantation course, we felt the Bay was equally beautiful, and less expensive. The course was beautiful, in good shape and a treat to play. The pro was on the driving range when we got there as there was a scramble going off that day. He gave quick feedback to anyone who wanted it, which was a fun bonus. The play was a little slow and took us 5 hours as a result of the scramble, and they didn’t seem to monitor or speed up play. Pics below are of the Bay course and the Plantation currently under construction. They are doing a major renovation on the Plantation.

Bay Course, and it isn’t close of you’re a decently traveled golfer. It’s the difference between playing a championship layout and a resort layout.

Do they typically allow singles to have a non golfer riding along (wife), without being paired with a group? Or is it usually busy and they group singles into others to create foursomes?
