I was disappointed with this tour. For $20 you get to walk through 2 very plain houses. Not much to see and certainly nothing ranch related. I realize there is history associated with Parker Ranch but there is just not much to see.

Very interesting and full of history. Beautiful grounds and a colorful history. This is a very self guided tour. We were fortunate to be the only ones touring at the time and the sweet lady who was working that day took the time to visit with us and expand on some of the history provided. We could have visited with her all day! In fact, a tour guide like her would make the visit just that much better! Also, Parker Ranch swag....there could be ALOT of potential for more swag!

Honestly a bit disappointing. Lovely ranch with old homes but the story is told through old.photos and pictures. We actually learned more about Parker Ranch and the Hawaiian cowboy culture from our tour guide on day two of our trip. Once at the ranch, we watched a lovely video made by the Yeti folks a few years ago but no one spoke to us other than setting up the VCR. I expected a bit more…

Ranch house on upland grassland with nice artifacts and art. Small house on the property as well. Great video made by Yeti coolers in the main area. Nice bathroom, house doable for folks who are not great walkers.

We went on a tour of the Parker Ranch. Patty gave us the tour. It was really really interesting to learn the history of the ranch. It was very informative and Patty was just a wealth of information for us. A great experience and a fun outing for anyone interested in the history of the ranch.

Had been to Waimea before, but didn't actually stop at the ranch. Self-guided tours are available of the 2 homes from the Parker Ranch Family, though the days they are open are limited as are the times each day. John Palmer Parker, who started the whole operation, was a sailor from New England. You can see his roots in the homes. Honestly one of the best parts was the lady working the check in desk. She had worked at Parker Ranch sincd 1994 (I believe) and she was full of extra information. It was a lovely visit!

We loved coming here on a Saturday when there was 40-50 venders and lots of food trucks. We bought a lot of really well made items and ate from the Hawaiian Food truck. We thought that the food was awesome!!

Evidently, due to COVID, the ranch and museum is closed until further notice. The closet thing to Parker Ranch is the strip mall featuring the Parker Ranch Store. Big letdown. Is it worth it for the ‘scenic’ drive - I say NO.

I come from a cattle ranch in Canada and was very impressed with the way the Parker Foundation has maintained a working ranch with historical significance and access for the public. As Contractors we were in awe of the Koa wood in the old ranch house and the architectural details in the "new" ranch house. The size and scope of this ranch were amazing.

A self guided tour that is FREE... yes someone that is free in Hawaii!
There was a nice lady at the front desk that handed out a pamphlet that guided us through the house and a couple of the outer buildings. this was one of the more memorable things we did in Hawaii and I found it very informative and loved the date line poster of the history of this ranch. the antiques throughout were very nice and the old trunks in the bedrooms were amazing.

We visited the Parker Ranch a few years back and watched the movie telling about ranch facts and history. One of the facts that amazed me was the number of miles of fence line. Please refresh my memory. We look forward to our next visit Thank You Lee Heemink
