This is an incredibly lovely wetlands park with a long stretch of boardwalks. The boardwalks are clean, well-maintained, and the park itself is a great stretch of wetlands and forest.

Wonderful walk the kids love it its quiet serene but if the kids do make a little noise its ok it really seems to calm them down and tire them out probably because I make them walk and even push the stroller

This is a well maintained walking spot in Federal Way. The natural & boardwalk trail is approximately 2 miles (flat) round trip. There is also a historical (pioneer days) Federal Way/Seattle/Tacoma information site & cabin at the park that is staffed by the Federal Way Historical Society. Their information/tour takes about 20-30 minutes and provides a nice, short sneak peak into the area's early life/times.

An outstanding, serene natural area that has been developed just enough to make visiting easy. It is full of native plants and not yet overrun by invasives such as Himalayan blackberry or English ivy.

As other reviews note, this is an easy walk. The parking is not always ideal, but it is a nice place to take a break. There are a couple open areas ideal for having a picnic. Even on hot days the trees and plants keep it cool.

This little park is right in Federal Way, but remains a hidden gem. It is an easy hike along gravel trails and boardwalk, and an opportunity to see plenty of birds, rabbits, squirrels, etc. The parking lot is small and can get full on a pleasant evening, so plan accordingly.

If you are interested in nature this is the place to go. The path is a boardwalk about 2 feet above the water. Depending on the time of day you will get the chance to see all kinds of wild life. The path you take it ranges from a mile to two shorter paths. Also the is a small picnic area. When we get a chance and want to take a break we head for Hybloes.

If I recall correctly, there is a small fee of a couple dollars to use this area, but it's a really nice trail to walk in the heat of summer. It is shady, with scattered sunlight with a wooden slat walkway, and lush wetlands growth all around. Kind of a magical place, and a must-see in Federal Way!

I have known about West Hybelos Wetlands park for decades, It's amazing in city park that is truly one with nature. All the varieties are named, the boardwalks and paths wonderful. A peaceful haven in the midst of Federal Way.

Decided I wanted to go somewhere to walk but not on a busy trail. This place is well hidden but I felt very safe. The boardwalk was amazing to walk and there were different placards to read and learn about the area.

Can you bring a small dog on a leash?
Ditulis pada 3 Juli 2017
The West Hylebos Wetlands Parks features a large trail network through 120 acres of unique old growth forest and wetlands in the heart of Federal Way. These wetlands are equal parts wildlife refuge, ecological and hydrological conservatory, nature trail, and pure natural wonder. One of the last remaining bogs in South King County, the Hylebos wetlands is easy to reach explore. I do not believe pets are allowed as the trail is all on boardwalk because it is a wet lands. The rules for this park are posted at the parking lot on South 348th. I have never seen pets there. Hope that helps. It is a wonderful walk. Just found out -It's worth noting that there is a STRICT no dog policy for this small trail network, this includes dogs on a leash.
