We stopped by here on a sunny Saturday morning on our way to Waynesboro for lunch. Calling this place a cheese shop is a little misleading, because it sells just about everything that you'd expect from a country deli, including some local specialty cheeses. While we were mostly window shopping we were on the hunt for some hard red wheatberries. Voila!!! We had our choice of both red or white. Plus we could get it in a 1LB bag.
Be careful if you have kids and you turn them loose in the candy aisle. They every candy known and then some. There's also an aisle where you can get any kind of preserves, pickled food and salsas.
All these selections at some really good prices. Get here early because this place is on everybody's shopping stop if they're in the vicinity.

When I visit my cousin and his wife in Stuarts Draft, we make an effort to visit the Cheese Shop. I have bought several items from this specialty market. Recently, I bought a new item on the shelf is pizza sauce, which I am looking forward to tasting. I also bought a large can of cooked white chicken. Only ingredients listed are: chicken, salt, and pepper! A local pizzeria in my hometown has a barbecue chicken and bacon pizza on their menu. I think I will try my hand at making this pizza at home. A very nice lady walked over to where I was looking at hand made birdhouses which were on display. The lady explained that the gentleman who made the birdhouses lives behind The Cheese Shop. The bird houses are made out of cedar for bluebirds, tufted titmouse, and finches. Good quality hand made birdhouses which should last a long time. I may buy a birdhouse the next time I visit.

We tend to stop at the Cheese Shop whenever we're in the area. It has a large variety of spices, baking goods, dried fruit, deli meat, and cheese. We can find things not normally available at the grocery store.

This is more than a cheese shop. There are all types of food here. There is a sandwich deli and for dessert try the donut shop. Great fresh donuts!

I stopped at the Cheese Shop while traveling through Stuarts Draft. As the name would suggest they have a variety of cheese and deli products. There's also a great selection of baking products, spices, and dried fruits all at reasonable prices.
I'll definitely go back.

Every Christmas we have family that come to visit us in Stuarts Draft from Mississippi. The wife says, perhaps with some exaggeration, that she saves all year to shop at the Cheese Shop. bulk oatmeal, various kinds of nuts, espeically walnuts, dried fruit and cheeses are the staples we purchase there. The Cheese Shop has begun to do deli sandwiches which are over the top. The Cheese Shop is one of the great parts about living in Stuarts Draft.

Visits to The Cheese Shop have been in our travels for many years, 3 generations to be exact! For the baker, whatever you need, it’s there in great variety. Cheeses, outstanding. Their prices are excellent. New are a sandwich shop and ice cream store.

We love The Cheese Shop’s staff and wide assortment of dried fruits and nuts.
Used to buy lunch meats there, but I honestly feel that the quality they once had is no longer there.

This is our 2nd trip here. Their expansion took us by surprise. This place is truly amazing, wholly unexpected in such a small town. Besides an incredible variety of cheeses, this shop has a wide variety of meats, candies and baked goods, even ingredients for baking (some you might have trouble finding elsewhere). They also have a doughnut shop and fresh sandwiches to order. We have found everything we've purchased to be fresh and delicious. We brought a cooler with us on this trip. You must stop by if you're even near the area.
