What a delight. A pretty delightful house with lots of history and amazing rooms that you can actually walk around whilst admiring the furnishings and displays. Staff were so knowledgable and really delighted to be asked questions. Do ask questions as so much knowledge about house items family. Pretty garden with some seats.Minutes walk from car park and high high street. Lots of places to eat, drink and relax. How have I missed this little gem,,, will bring grandchildren on event days.. one 9 and 10 September...

Had a lovely visit with my family this week. All the staff/ volunteers were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Definitely worth a visit if passing through.

The house is quite small with about 7 rooms to visit. The staff are all quite knowledgeable about the property and of General Wolfe and his victory at Quebec. When we visited two members of staff were cooking recipes in the kitchen from Mrs Wolfes cookbook which we were allowed to taste. In another room we were able to handle a musket. In an outbuilding there is a display detailing the battle of Quebec and details of the death of General Wolfe. Although small we learnt a lot about General Wolfe and the history of the Battle of Quebec.

Incredibly enjoyable visit. Not a large property and not one of the more historically important national trust properties but the staff were all very passionate and knowledgable. The military display room where you can handle a musket and uniform with a steward who knew so much that I actually made notes. In the parlour we were greeted by another staff member who knew an incredible amount about all the maps and the battle of Quebec. They also had home baked DELICIOUS authentic biscuits in the kitchen from the lady of the house’s own recipes. We almost ran out of time in a house of 7 rooms in almost 2 hours…. Staggering knowledge and just wonderful afternoon!

Just visited Quebec House (late May) and had a lovely time, learning about General Wolfe, chatting and laughing with the staff, who were happily sharing their knowledge with us, making the visit even more enjoyable.
The house is interesting, I loved the wooden staircase, we tried Lemon based recipes (macaroons, King's biscuit's and cheesecake) from Mrs Wolfe's cookbook in the kitchen, all of which were delicious. The garden whilst small is very pretty and well kept.
Had a walk into Westerham, for afternoon tea in the tea shop on the green and watched the world (and its is boa constrictor!?) go by.

Me and my son visited this historic house after a visit to Chartwell House. The NT staff made us welcome and were very informative. Well worth a visit.

Interesting visit of the house occupied by James Wolf who took Quebec from the French on the Plains of Abraham. Some good memorabilia and good video display in the barn. Helpful and informed volunteers

Nice house and lovely to walk around, however most of the second and third floor are closed which is a shame. Staff very friendly.

However, we are sorry you were disappointed that parts of the 2nd and 3rd floor are closed to the public; Quebec House is a small National Trust property and these upstairs areas are needed for our staff and volunteers for operational purposes. Quebec House is lovely. A small site by comparison of other nearby sites. Worth a visit if you have a specific interest in Wolfe. This is my second time and post pandemic. I have to say the only disappointment is that the shop has been reduced to just a second hand book shop. Nobody was manning it at all. When I visited before the pandemic it had plenty to offer in the way of books about Wolfe and other related items. NT please make more of this site.

Are the grounds free to roam around of is the a fee separate to the property admission?

Hi Natasha, thanks for your enquiry. The tea room and gardens are outside the pay barrier, though the gardens are very small so there would not be much roaming involved. The main attraction is the house, which is free for National Trust members. For up to date opening times and prices, please see our website

Your main article is wrongly titled: it should be 'WOLFE" not WOOF!! You'll have Canadian and English historians weeping into their wine! General WOLFE is a world famous general!
