How can you claim you were there and my complaint about your staff is a misunderstanding ? ? ?
You may have been there in the hotel but you were not stood over my son and I to see how your staff rudely treated us !
I feel you are now adding insult to injury ...

Fabulous Roman ampitheheater

Located just off a Main Street it exists along side a modern street. It is available to see just from the road making this one of the most accessible places that I know of. This being a rather old and historic site will give a person a good insight to the romana vision of making everyone open to the arts.

Great entertainment staff

This hotel was simply amazing and this was due to the entertainment staff
Brian . Pepito and Esteban kept the adults and the children entertained all day long
The food was average - the facilities were average
But the restaurant manager was consistently cheerful - friendly and polite and welcoming, helping everyone to feel relaxed and welcome, he ran a tight ship . Nothing was too much trouble so that all of the guests were catered for .
In my opinion - the animacion team really made the holiday
They kept everyone laughing- thought up innovative and interesting games. Bingo - darts etc around the pool for adults and children . They danced, sang and kept everyone captivated encouraging the guests to socialise - participate and feel included
All of the children no matter how shy they felt initially. Really got involved, my grand daughter to my amazement was dancing on the stage
Everyone loved the animacion team
They could be on the television as professional children's entertainers

After a 3 mile walk very disappointed as it was all closed

Avid metal detector into Roman ruins and artefacts I was so looking forward to seeing this place. We walked several miles to find it (it's quite well sign posted). When we finally got to see it it was all locked up so you could only see it through metal railings and was unable to read the information boards. Very disappointed 😞

We were on holidays in Salou and tourist office recommended us to visit these roman villa, it's better if you take a free guided tour. Rome is impossible to compare with anything else.

This hotel is amazing staff are very helpful rooms were clean but most of all the entertainment and bar staff made our holiday definitely recommend this hotel to anyone my kids loved it .

Guided tours on 3 evenings in the week.
Guide comes in from Tarragona, no prebooking required.

Most visitors are Spanish, but guide can also give tour in English or both. You have to hunt out this little gem. On the way you may discover the old tramway to Reus behind the railway station.

We were given an excellent tour of the wine cellars, the wells, and the pottery houses. The tour guide was friendly and well equipped with knowledge of the history of salou and tarragona and overall I would definitely recommend it to anybody in salou!

Interesting history with a great guide.

We found out about the Villa Romana de Barenys from the salou website. It has slightly funny opening hours but is well worth a visit. It is actually a Roman wine and pottery manufactures. We were guided by a local archeologist who spoke good English and explained the background history of Rome in the Iberian Peninsula and Tarragona and Salou. The wine making and pottery making were also explained whilst looking at well preserved ruins. The visit was free and really interesting, it provided a good background to Tarragona which we planned to visit the next day. The site is in the less touristy more suburban area of Salou and is nice if you are looking for something away from the crowds with a bit of culture. A word of warning however, take insect repellent or wear trousers as I was completely nibbled on by mosquitoes! Overall a great trip!
