This place is amazing. Very good wines but the help here is informative and very friendly outside the business box. Rich was our server along with Joe. They made our experience very fun. The wines are really good but more on the dry side if you only like sweet. The facility is very nice and clean. Definitely come here and just chill. Such a nice place!!

More like dinner with wine.
Was expecting wine education with courses being served.
Service was excellent, from food and wine till towards end.
Staff not available to pour wine and missed 3rd glass, as it closes at 8pm.
Was told by staff, they had a long day.
Food was good...main entree buffet line.
Provided with 3 wine coupons for evening
Even was told that the main winemaker was not present, only the"marketing guy".

Great people, great music on the weekends and this year’s Pino (grapes are from Sonoma) is World Class! A new winery on Hwy 11 that is developing into a great stop as you enjoy the Foothills of the Blueridge mountains.

When great service from knowledgeable staff meet excellent wines you get five stars! What a gem this place is for the upstate!! I can hardly wait for their bistro to get built and opened!

You know how sometimes you expect one thing but find yourself experiencing a whole lot more? That's what Eagle Mountain Vineyards is! You go for some great wines and you leave like you made the best friends ever. The place has a great atmosphere about it, an uncanny look to it and some wonderful folks behind that front door.
Gary was wonderful explaining all of the wines from the Wine & Food Experience tasting (Highly Recommended!) which each had it's own flavor and a great back story. The Muscat was my favorite followed up by the Rose. However, the wines were AMAZING but the conversation really made it an EXPERIENCE.
This place sort of feels like "Cheers", not too big yet, smiling faces and where everybody knows your name. I kid you not! Sometimes the experience can be a whole lot better than the wine! Thanks Gary!!!
Highly recommended and plan to visit again soon. A+++

I recently relocated from wine country in Sonoma County, CA. When I discovered Eagle Mountain Winery I was excited that I had found an authentic CA wine country experience in my backyard of South Carolina. The feeling you get at Eagle Mountain Winery is precisely that one experiences in CA wine country, enhanced by Southern hospitality. The wines are reasonably priced and of excellent quality, produced by one of CA’s most accomplished wine makers. They offer a wine & food experience for $29.00 that includes a tasting of 5 wines, a glass of your favorite wine from the 5 tastes and a gourmet charcuterie. The weekend “Music on the Mountain” events, with live music and outside seating, are a lovely addition to the enjoyment. Each visit has been a memorable experience.

My first thought, as we drove through the Upstate countryside of South Carolina, was, “Hmm…this is an unexpected place to find a vineyard and winery.” But the genius of the location came into focus as Russ Gardiner (President) shared his vision of making this a destination winery. Eagle Mountain is 20 miles from downtown Greenville, SC, #9 on Conde Nast’s 2019 list of “Best Small Cities in the U.S.” It is also an hour’s drive from Asheville, NC; less than 2 hours from Charlotte, NC; and even less than 3 hours from Atlanta, GA. Four ingredients needed to realize Russ’ vision of becoming a destination rather than the “drive by and drop in” kind of winery one might have visited in California’s wine country are featured prominently on the logo and website for Eagle Mountain Vineyards & Winery: “Wine,” “Food,” “Art,” and “Music.”
Wine, of course, comes first and that prominence is secured by Eagle Mountain’s Director of Winemaking, George Bursick, who has the distinction of having crafted Wine Spectator’s “Wine of the Year” in 1986 – the 1985 Ferrari-Carano Chardonnay. George’s impressive resume includes overseeing the first commercial release of Syrah in California in 1980, putting Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery on the map during his 21 years as Director of Winemaking and helping to establish J Vineyards & Winery as a luxury brand.
Food comes into play in Eagle Mountain’s reservation-only “Food and Wine Experience” which allows one to taste 5 wines complemented by a gourmet charcuterie plate and then select a glass of one’s favorite from the flight ($29/person). There’s also a monthly “Dinner with the Winemaker” series for club members (see below). And Russ has plans to open Cork & Barrel, a Southern-inspired bistro, onsite later this year.
Russ’ vision includes an outdoor sculpture park (2 pieces are visible in the exterior photo of Eagle Mountain’s Winery) strategically placed alongside walking trails dotted with picnic tables and fire pits that meander through the streams and waterfalls on the estate at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The sculpture park is free and open to the public from Noon to 6pm daily (except Thanksgiving and Christmas)
“Music on the Mountain” showcases local talent and offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a concert along with their glass (or bottle!) of wine. Seating on the patio is on a “first come, first served” basis, so it might be a good idea to throw lawn chairs in the trunk. Check Eagle Mountain’s “events” calendar for upcoming offerings. Russ is also building a state-of-the-art concert venue with arena seating.
Eagle Mountain just opened on June 23. This is truly an opportunity to get in on the ground floor. Their “Founder’s Circle” club has a one-time initiation fee of $500 which might sound high until one realizes it gives them 5 years of benefits which include a 20% discount on wine purchases, a personalized oak barrel (pictured in the interior shot of the winery) and paver stone and priority reservation status at winery events. Once club memberships are sold out, Eagle Mountain will become primarily a “members only” winery open to the public on a reservation-only basis.

This is a beautiful building inside but the winery is not complete. They do not make their wine at this location, yet.. It all comes from California. You can do a wine tasting of five wines for $14.00 per person. I didn't like that she did not give us a clean glass each time. There were a good many people in the sitting area and more came in to the bar area as time went on. No snacks are served. Later on, there is to be a Bistro next to the main building. Also later on the main building now will be for The Founder's Circle, which has a one-time $500.00 initiation fee with no additional monthly fees and includes 5 years of benefits. The wine which were tasted was Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Muscat Canelli, Pinot Noir, and Zinfandel. Some were good to me, some were not. Overall a nice afternoon.
