Tons of trails, water activities, camping available at this peaceful getaway not far from Downtown Greenville. Visited before the flowers started to bloom so it looked kind of dead but I can imagine it’s beautiful with the fall/spring colors. Trails very well marked

In our opinion, Paris Mtn State Park has good and bad issues. We enjoyed our 4 night stay even with the awkward elements. The park staff is very friendly and helpful. On the good side, the hiking trails were great and the park building was nice to visit. It was interesting to me because of its historical background. The swimming area was relaxing and overall, the park was very pretty with the variety of trees and plants.
We had some issues with the park road and site # 35, which was so steep it was difficult to level our RV. Several times, oncoming traffic in the park nearly collided with us...younger people speeding, and the road being too narrow for two campers to pass at the same time. Plus blind curves and a lack of signs posted to help you get around.
It was nice to have such peace and quiet, not hearing traffic noise like you do in other state parks. The electric, water and bath house all were in good order. Lastly, we were hoping for some type of overlook, like you have on the Blue Ridge Parkway, but there was no place we found to access a view of the mountain and its surroundings.
We had fun going into town and sightseeing, and there are lots of good places to eat...

We took three generations to Paris Mountain park. It is a wonderful place to quietly enjoy each other.

Came after Christmas for 3 days. Water and 30amp electric service only. Bathhouse were clean along with the campground. Many day use folks walking or biking the many trails. Campground sites are for mainly tents or rv’s under 30 feet. Firewood is provided. WiFi is soso near the bathhouse or the office. Would come back

We camped here for a week in our RV. First the positives, Quick drive to downtown Greenville and Travelers Rest. Really nice and extensive hiking trails from easy to challenging, especially liked the Sulphur Springs Trail. Campground host was very nice and kept the bathrooms clean and spotless and even provided a stack of free firewood. Campsites are shaded. Park has a small beach area with wooden loungers to relax on. Camping rates are good at $27 a night which includes entry admission price, Now the negatives. Small campground and most of the campsites are not level, especially the pull through sites. Pull thru sites are rather small and not easy to park and level on compared to most parks. The roads in the park are very narrow and twisty which makes pulling an RV on these roads a challenge if any traffic is coming in the opposite direction. Print a trail map before you go as the Park Office charges $2 for these. Park Office does not sell ice. Lake for swimming looked very murky and uninviting and the depth seemed to drop of deep very quickly from the beach. Had to drive some way to dump our trash with only one collection point in the main parking area near the Park Office. Park gates are locked at 8pm, but a code to enter out of hours is provided, but the roads are very dark and twisty to drive back at night. We may return some time to tent camp but will not take our RV back there, mainly because of the park roads and unlevel campsites.

The park is a short drive from Downtown Greenville. Nice trails. Lots of trees. Picnic areas. Camping available.
Took my grandson to the lake to swim. It was a nice change from a pool. But a word of caution. The water is very murky and we didn’t realize it until we got home and showered, that we were covered in a dart, oily film.

I just recently visited Greenville from flat old Florida with the Family. This is one of the places me and son hiked while we were visiting. It seems to be a well maintained park and has some nice trails.

I have been to quite a number of state parks, this one was not one I would return to. My phone app got me there but I did not see one sign on the road to this location, which I found odd. When we arrived and paid, we drove to the lake area and parked. Yes, there was a trail to walk and campgrounds but the lake area was a big let down. You could not swim out far plus the kayaks and boats were only available to hire on Saturday and Sundays. I am not sure if it was the layout or lack or signage but I could not see what you could do in the park or what trails you could take.

I don't believe there is....the campground is surrounded by houses, although once you get back inside it's a world away... You could always call and ask, but I don't remember seeing any signs for it..

I only booked one summer stay and I was able to find a site for 3 days. You can book up to 13 months in advance. Looking ahead to Memorial Day this year a fair portion of the sites are already booked but the following week is pretty open. With only 42 RV sites, early is better.
