Terrible. We ordered for take out and I was told 20-25 mins for preparation time. An hour later my wife was still waiting... Add to this that my daughter's tuna wasn't prepared properly, they forgot my mashed potatoes side order (again), and that our concerns were ignored by management with no acknowledgement of the issues because they had a "big party" they were serving, and we'll never be going back again. Inconsistent service and quality of food, avoid.

Breakfast stop that turned out to be pretty good. Just down the street from Penn Square. Not to big but did not have to wait. Menu was average in size. Pancakes, bacon and sausage were tasty. Staff was pleasant and attentive.

My wife and I had an awesome Greek dinner at Yorgos last night. Gary was our friendly, knowledgeable, attentive waiter. We had the spanakopita and the octopus appetizer, which were both delicious, and a lot of food. We had a delicious red Greek wine to go along with our meal. We followed the appetizer with the lamb souvlaki. The meat was flavorful and tender, and a good portion size, so we brought some home. George, the owner, came by our table to make sure everything was good, and let us taste Greek wine we hadn’t tasted before, and made us feel like we were part of the family. Great food, wine, atmosphere! We look forward to our next visit!

My readers know me for real reviews.
In Lancaster from out of town. Stopped by Yorgos for a beer. .ordered a Sierra Nevada. .they were out. Asked for a yuengling..and got a hoppy beer. Told bartender it wasn't yuengling...He said "oh". That will be $8.00.

We went to dinner at Yorgos on a Sunday night after a full weekend of blues and roots music. We were served by an energetic, interesting young man, who managed our meal very efficiently. Here are our food ratings:
Frisee salad (shared as an app) = A+
Tuna Steak: B
Rib-eye Steak: B
Horta: A+
Sweet potato casserole: A+
Rice Pilaf: D
The salad was fantastic, full of walnuts, cranberries and gorgonzola. We share it as an app and it was more than enough for two.
The waiter may have confused the temps of our entrees: the tuna arrived rare and the ribeye medium rare, rather than vice versa. The quality was fine, but they lacked a bit of flavor. The horta and sweet potato sides were simply wonderful; the rice pilaf not so much.
We didn't have any dessert.

I'm not going to lie. I didn't want to eat at Yorgo's. My husband dragged my daughter and me in for lunch one day. From the outside, it just looked like a grimy bar, and I figured it would be smoky and all the food would be fried within an inch of its life. I couldn't have been more wrong! Is it a bar? Yes. But, the food! The freshest, most delicious Greek food! On top of the great menu offerings, we had a terribly helpful server. (I'm sorry; I can't remember his name.) Not only did he give us great service, he made recommendations that were right on the money. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Brisk morning walk from the Marriott to Yorgos for a delicious and very reasonably priced breakfast. Friendly place. Would definitely return when in the area.

Right in the heart of downtown Lancaster, this is a gem. The food is amazing and the inside is cozy!
