This place needs shutting down and demolishing. We went there for a nerf gun party for my son’s 7th birthday. First impressions not great, but thought don’t judge a book by its cover. The door was ajar with the worst condensation I have ever seen in a functioning building. Walked in, the cold hit you straight away, it was freezing in there. The floor was absolutely disgusting, the whole place hadn’t seen a cleaning product in possibly years. The seating area was mismatched chairs, and tables that were filthy. The corridor to the toilet was a minefield littered with holes, covered by very well thought out bits of soaking wet cardboard. Absolutely not ideal for young children. The side room was stacked from floor to ceiling with empty cardboard boxes. 1. That was a huge fire hazard, but to be honest it was so wet in there, the chances of it going up in smoke are very very slim. Still not acceptable. 2. Slip and falls risk 3. Potential landslide of cardboard boxes. Lethal in there. The main room- that consisted of old inflatables that were scattered around, camouflage netting that was ripped and falling off the walls. The water stains that were on the carpet were disgusting. As soon as we arrived we were informed of a leak. Absolutely not what I wanted to hear, as a party of young lads was going to be arriving shortly after we did. Unfortunately my son found one of many leaks, his trousers looked like he had fallen into a pond he was soaked. Once they had dried they were a disgusting colour. Something that I did not expect to happen for an indoor venue. The ‘party’ room was warmer, but certainly should not have been used for any sort of function. There was mould on the ceiling and of course more water stains, the whole Place is just appalling, and I felt so guilty and embarrassed that I had subjected children and parents to the hell hole. The lady that was there was lovely and we couldn’t fault her, and she was very good with the boys. This party cost £150, I had £75 left to pay. But I felt I couldn’t challenge this poor lady as she was suffering too, just being there. So through gritted teeth a paid the remaining £75. There is no way he should be charging for this tip! We have asked for a refund or a partial refund for the party. I wasn’t going to write this review but the owner hasn’t had the decency to respond to an email. So if I can prevent anyone wasting their money, time and their health this will be worth it. The place needs closing down. It’s unwelcoming, unsafe and bitterly cold. I would never have taken children there if I’d have known. It wouldn’t even be suitable for farm animals. Don’t even consider wasting your time to even look at this place on the website. And certainly don’t risk anything going in there. Extremely disappointed. Never ever again. Fortunately there were a few people that came to the party, hopefully they will spread the word how awful it is and people will not visit.
