Not worth the trip

Can't understand why this beach gets good reviews. It's a mix of grey sand but mainly stony. It's reached by a rocky unpaved road too. The only positive IMO is that the water is very clear. The beaches at Kolibithra are much nicer and easier to access. If you do venture down there is a small, simple cafe/restaurant next to rhe beach.

Livada Beach is reached by a rough road then a walk but is worth it.
The beach its self is rocky so take your beach shoes, the water is crystal clear.

Beautiful beach with all weather conditions

This is one of our favourite beaches in tinos. If you want to experience something special, hike down to the beach from the trail n°1 descending into the valley and get a lift on your way up. Approaching the beach walking is something unforgettable.

The best beach on the island (when we visited there was a South wind, that is important). The little taverna also offers some of the best tasting menu. Easily beats the posh expensive options of Tinos Chora.

Nice Beach, Even Better Food

Livada is a nice beach. Very remote. There is a beautiful hike leading down to it. The road can be a little rough, especially the last 1/2 kilometer that is unpaved. The beach is smooth rocks, not sand. It can be hard on your feet. The water is generally cool with a lot of wave action depending on the winds. However, the best part of your trip is the Livada Cafe. It's generally only open on weekends, but the food is very good. Normal Greek salad, cheese and bread. But they also do some nice grilled vegetables. We also had fried calamari and baked shark. Both were outstanding.

Beauty and the beast

It's a great sea and the beach is beautiful it's just that we caught it on a winter attitude thus the beast :-)
One of the places you need to visit though the sea is just beautiful

Best beach in Tinos

Livada is a beautiful, remote and quiet beach. A nice change from all the organised beaches of Tinos that have been taken over by beach bars.
The only problem with Livada is that you can't really enjoy it when it's windy - which is more often than not. There's also a nice tavern with great traditional food. Go for it!

amazing view but difficult to arrive there!

few people and really difficult road to arrive at livada beach. It was and unmade road so you need a jeep car!

Windy means large waves for exciting (and dangerous?) play; still wind means perfect beach

The cafe next door makes this remote beach perfect! No other buildings really and a fascinating stream that has fresh water even in summer and you can spot the turtles. If windy then this beach is ideal for confident swimmers or surfers. If there is no wind then the beach is ideal for lying on rocks or the sand - not much shade apart from a small line of trees back by the road. Tarmac road the whole way now.

Wonderful to look at an experience - not so much for swimming

Wild winds, big waves, interesting rock formations on each side of the beach. A small duck/turtle pond at the river entrance to the sea. Fun for older kids but not the safest place - come to see the waves and walk on the rocks... and move on to swim at a safer location.
