My boys (aged 11 and 12) and I had such an amazing experience at The Maleny Chocolate Factory learning how to temper chocolate and make truffles! The experience is very hands on as you are encouraged to create your own chocolate masterpieces. The chocolate is outstanding. The company uses only the purest of ingredients (locally sourced where possible) as Chefs personally create by hand the chocolates that are sold instore . Marti our host was beautiful. She was patient, kind and very experienced in her craft. Highly recommended!!

A hidden Gem but so worth a visit, the chocolate is divine spent a fortune but well worth it the honeycomb did not last the journey home!! Will definitely be visiting again when we next go to Maleny

Great little hidden gem. A must visit and their chocolates and especially honeycomb is fantastic!! Once you open the door your senses are overloaded with the gorgeous smell of chocolate and the impressive array of products.

A bit pricey when you know you are only paying for chocolate - but the quality is excellent. A lot to choose from and they allow for taste testing so makes the purchase worth it.

Hard to find...it's in a back car park behind the main street. Very crowded inside with week-end tourists. Staff are young, and mostly don't seem excited to be there. Chocolate is absolutely beautiful! Was worth the search for the shop just to taste test the little chocolate frogs. They are free to taste, and they have them in white, milk and dark chocolate. We bought presents and some for ourselves - very expensive, and was overcharged on some items as well, so more expensive than it should have been...didn't discover we were overcharged until we got home (kept happening that week-end!). My daughter especially loved the hot chocolate on a stick with a marshmallow and frog that you stir into hot milk - said it was the best hot chocolate she'd ever tasted. Will go back if we are up that way again.

I went the first time to buy presents for people, got home, ate the gifts myself and needed to return (twice) to buy the gifts again;) It's so smooth and not "sugary" tasting.
My husband bought me some supermarket chocolate but Maleny Chocolate has ruined me!
It's all made on premises, excellent quality and fantastic variety. I like buying the mixed bags of slabs. Great for gifts and for a little treat for yourself.
Yes, it is on the more expensive side, but worth it!
Tip on finding Maleny Chocolate Factory outlet shop: Find Monicas Cafe in Maleny's main street (43 Maple St). There's a little passage beside the cafe that leads to a few flights of stairs that go down. Go to the bottom and see a little rainforest courtyard and the chocolate shop. There's also a ramp/driveway on the other side of the cafe but I haven't used that for access.

We had a little bit of trouble finding this shop and it was raining which meant we were running from shelter to shelter and made it a bit more difficult but eventually we saw the sign on the main street pointing down the lane to the shop. Eventually we found ourselves inside. All the chocolates looked lovely and when we came to the Rocky Road and Turkish Delight we were quite excited until we saw the price. The Rocky Road was priced at $15.95 for 150 grams as was the Turkish Delight, last year we were in the Adelaide Hills where we paid $15.95 for 500gms of Rocky Road and Robb makes his own and pays a $10.00 for a full tray, so we felt the pricing was quite outrageous. To be fair we didn't try anything but it would have had to be exceptional to warrant these prices.

Tucked away is this hidden gem in maleny. There is a window where you can see chocolate making happening and every single chocolate is so picturesque theh make great presents. The girl behind the counter was so friendly and enthusiastic which was great to see. They went above and beyond with gift wrapping the chocolates we bought.

If you like chocolate that tastes like real chocolate -- you have to come here.
