This was a fun walk in the swamp with gorgeous fall colors. The trails are fully accessible to wheelchairs. The boardwalk is well maintained. For us, it was a long drive for a short walk - but it was gorgeous there. The only bathroom is a porta-potty. Definitely wear bug spray as the park is home to many mosquitoes!

Nice, easy walk, very accessible. The fairy village is very cute. Maps online said this was a 2-mile hike but it's more like .8 miles so we went around twice.

We love hiking at Huckleberry Swamp! The boardwalk is awesome with lots of frogs and turtles to view. The new fairy house area is very cool! My girls got very into building a fairy house together from sticks and bark. So much fun!

Great place to take kids. Kind of like a boardwalk through an enchanting marsh with trees to shade most of the way. Lillypads and frogs, turtles and birds... Stroller friendly, easy walk. Great for couples as well.

We love places like Huckleberry Swamp. It allows us to enjoy those parts of nature that normally wouldn’t be accessible except by boardwalk. This is a wonderful loop walk through the swamp. There is also a second trail through the woods. We only went part way down this trail because it was so wet (so much rain in this area recently). As the sign at the beginning of the trail states, this is wildlife for everyone. Except to be delighted by the diverse wildlife of the swamp. Make sure you bring bug spray as there were a lot of mosquitoes.

Quaint hike in rural Wayne County park. Boardwalk for wet areas and trail easily followed. Easy parking.

My two girls and I have been here a number of times. We enjoy the serene, clean walkway and great trails. Bring some repellant during the buggy season!

Very beautiful. Lots of birds and wild life to see. Walking paths are well cared for and easy to walk.

It would be a lot more appealing if it was open year round. We have more spare time to enjoy hiking Fall to Mid Spring.

This is a magical place, made accessible by a wide boardwalk (and well-maintained trails) which meander through 79 acres of diverse wetlands. We have been here at different times, and the preserve is always wonderful, and ever changing with the seasons. There are always delightful surprises. The swamp is full of life: many kinds of trees and wildflowers, frogs, birds, dragonflies, turtles, muskrats and more.... Bring your binoculars, and in the spring you may see great blue heron chicks in their rookery. The Swamp is wheelchair accessible. There are "meet and greets," guided hikes, nature programs and kids' camps. It is closed Mondays and winters. We suggest you check their website (www.ofofinc.org) before heading out. Very highly recommended.
