I hate to give a negative review, but this one was thoroughly earned. The store itself is very fun with a lot of cool stuff to look at, but the owner is the downfall. She was screaming at and berating one of the other employees right in front of a huge group of customers. She then also proceeded to engage in a screaming match with multiple customers. Her behavior was shocking and it was the most unprofessional scene I've ever encountered. This store would be great if it didn't employ this absolute trash pile of a person, but I will never be back after the experience I had.

I discovered this town and fell in love with vibrant culture and decided to stay overnight. All was amazing until i came into contact with a Shop Therapy store on the commercial street that cheated me by giving me broken merchandise, not putting something i paid for in my bag and “forgetting” to give me my recipe so I don’t have an option to return bad items they gave me. Specifically a woman working there with an African accent.
At the same time the tall guy who lives in the apartment upstairs behind the store looks like an electrician, short brown hair he drives a white beat up van and parks behind the Shop Therapy welcomed me to the town by cutting my bike lock off my bike and threw my bike into the alley in rage.
Fun times. I would live to be back but this experience has just put so much bitter taste for me that i will not be back. The hate for tourists is making this place unreturnable for me. I thought twice spending my money in that town.

From Eastern clothing to a great adult Funtime second floor, this shop is a must stop each time we visit P-town! You’re guaranteed to come home with something fun to wear or play with.

Unique shop on the main drag of Providence. Get your hippie clothing, sex toys, jewelry or knick-knacks. A fun place to browse with no sales pressure. Like everywhere in P-town, you are mandated to wear your mask.

They have strange but great gifts. Tons of hippy tie die clothing. Sex and smoking shop upstairs is fully stocked. If you went a good laugh or to look at some interesting pieces, it’s the place!

I took my wife to Provincetown for the Women Of Color Conference & we walked the entire length of Commercial street,enjoying the sights & stopping in places that caught our eye along the way.Shop Therapy immediately draws one in,just by its outer decor alone.The front is covered in mural like painted images,that makes you wonder what they have in there.Well,once we stepped in it was more like what didn't they have! The first floor is a mixed bag of clothes,dream catchers,bags,oils,keychains...etc.The 2nd floor is the naughty level.Without giving away too much,a hint is that it is NOT suitable for kids.Some things I saw made my eyes pop wide & I'm half a century old,lol.It is huge up there & every inch is filled with marital aid products & extra curricular items for grown folk.We laughed & pointed at items we had never seen before for almost 2 hours! I would have stayed looking around longer if we didn't have paid for tickets to a function that evening.I made one purchase that looked like I could handle it,despite being a little nervous to try it,lol.My wife was afraid of the products,however.Im the adventurous type & look forward to coming back here to take another walk on the wild side!!!😁

If you have someone in your life who likes hippie-style anything, this is the place for you! Clothes, jewelry, trinkets of every kind. We were there for an hour trying everything on and having a blast!

Shop TherapY......What's a Trip to PTown without a visit to Shop Therapy on Commercial St. right in the middle of town?
Can't be in town without a purposeful visit to stock-up on de rigueur HipPie GeaR;
I walked out with complimentary shopping bag goodie-filled for keeps and gift giving. Best stock anywhere of incense, beads, exotic scents and oils, silver jewelry, scarves and bohemian threads-- they even have their own Shop Therapy Brand!. Out back find knives, blades and things self-defense. All manner of tie-dye, tee's, loose cotton summer wear and flowing fashions. Ethnic, sustainable, fiber woven items imported helping indigenous crafts people, affordable and in every hue. Post cards, humorous, novelties, cheap amusements for the kids-give them ten buck$. Stickers, games, kites and streamers, prayer flags, sandals, hoodies and gag gifts. Some still new vintage items too. Upstairs is the pleasure dome of adult aids, **Child Warning**inflatables, things made of molded rubber, leather, and FuN toys galore-- the entire second level from ceiling to floor on view. And Head Gear; pipes, Raw papers, bongs, single-hitters, bats, hookahs and vapes now that cannabis is legal in Mass., get your supplies to smoke hash. Shop Therapy: a store for all senses/open 3 seasons.....an annual destination shopping spot for this reviewer. Stand on the other side of the street and look at the rainbow colored, vividly illustrated building facade always changing and being improved.

Shop Therapy has been around for a long time...and there's a reason for that. Sure, they have "hippie" stuff, cool items from back in the day, & touristy items. But they have so much more than that. All you have to do look up, down, & all around. I've been coming here for decades & every time I come, I see something different. Today I came home with a bell, a certain kind that I've been looking for but haven't been able to find. And just a word to parents of young children, do not let them go upstairs, that's an adult-only section.

Found this gem while shopping on Commercial St. So old school. We loved it. Nothing is expensive and everything different and just awesome. Went back twice on our trip and found something special each time. Great gifts to bring home.
