After leaving the Atwood Museum nearby we took a few minutes to stop here to see the windmill. We did not know what to expect and learned they offer tours during certain times of the year, however they were closed during our visit. Just a short walk is a very interesting labyrinth. Curiosity incentivized us to walk the path into the center and back out again which provided a good time for meditation.

We missed the hours where the windmill was open (inside) but still enjoyed seeing it. And the labyrinth nearby made the visit a little more interesting and worthwhile. We even took the time to walk the path of the labyrinth which helped stretch our legs. If you enjoy historic sites on the Cape this is a nice quick stop if you’re in the area.

A must see landmark, readily accessible and immaculately maintained. Once there, remember to also walk the labyrinth, it’s quite a spiritual experience.

We were lucky to be there on Wednesday with guides that explained how the windmill worked both inside and out. Fascinating. Several generations of families were millers. Residents would bring their corn, have the Miller grind it and pay 1/6 of the meal for the service. If you can time it to be there when the mill is actually running, that would be a doubly interesting experience.

If you going to see the lighthouse you should definitely stop to see the windmill. Nice kept park. Good place to stretch your legs even if foggy!

My husband and I were able to walk to the windmill from the downtown Chatham area. It is located in a very picturesque, quiet neighborhood. We went on a day when tours were being given. The couple giving the tours were very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the windmill and the operation. We were able to go inside and up the stairs to see the gears and top stone. We enjoyed our time there.

Very quiet here on a warm November day. Park is well kept which made for a nice walk to the windmill and the labyrinth (a must-do while there).

Great stop for family. Both guides were extremely informative. Lots of drawings and videos to show how this is still operational

We stopped at this mill and the two friendly volunteers (great guys) gave us an interesting and informative tour of the mill. They both had a great sense of humor. The ingenuity back then when the mill was built was amazing. Donations are appreciated and definitely worth it. Great for all ages.
