Excellent value flight. The pilot spoke - and wrote in emails (not sure if it was the same person!) - excellent English and sorting out a time and date was straightforward. Payment is made in cash on the day. I had booked a specific route as a surprise gift, but on the day the pilot was happy to adjust it slightly to take in a particular sight. We were visiting the D-Day beaches from Caen and the flight took in Pegasus Bridge, Ouistreham, Juno and Gold beaches, and the Mulberry Harbours. This was the shortest flight but there are a variety of options, including flights over the abbeys and castles of the region. There is a small cafe at Caen airport but it does not do much in the way of food, more a bar, and there is plenty of parking on site - the first hour is free. Just a shame it was only a one passenger plane or I'd have gone too!

Thank you for this opinion. In France, only ultralight aircraft can fly commercially from point A to point A without a Certificate of Air Transport (which is very difficult to obtain and very expensive to keep). But ultralights can only carry just one passenger + one pilot.
Merci pour cet avis. En France, seuls les aeronefs ultralégers peuvent effectuer des vols commerciaux d'un point A à un point A sans avoir de Certificat de Transport Aérien (ce qui est tres difficile à obtenir et tres honéreux à conserver). Or, les ultralégers ne peuvent transporter qu'un passager + 1 pilote.
