The booking said pending and the day before the tour asks where we are. We had enquired through our travel.agent in the meantime and various other tour operators and they all said the crater was closed... never actually got confirmed.

Hi there Julia, you are booked trekking via Viator start 31 -1 january and available and we had paid the tickets entarnce fee Porters and guide everything .. we are waiting and contact via email but you there is no respon, and trekking closed 1 January,,
and it doesn't mean you can't climb on 31-1 .. and please contact us on WhatsApp + 6285338938083 Because your money can still be returned and until today we have not received your money, and Buti tickets and others can be sent, maybe this is no longer useful but this proves that we are professional, and proof of the email that I sent on December 30 but you did not reply and you included a cellphone number but it is not active ..

Our contact arrived punctually at our hotel.
After a quick briefing, we loaded our backpacks in a van and started the adventure.
Sapar, our guide, led the way always asking if we needed something, watching our steps.
Jul and Amat were in charge of cooking a delicious breakfast and superb meals (our menu was a Nasi Goreng like one, pineapple cuts and fruits, fried bananas, chicken curry soup, banana pancakes and sandwiches). All super tasty!!
These guys were awesome and very good people!!! We could learn more about Lombok, its people and culture thanks to them. We really appreciate their effort and great humour!
It's a hard ascent, you start at 600 mts. and finish at 2600 meters to begin mounting the tents at the camp site. First section, rainforest. Then rocky and sandy.
Although weather conditions weren't favourable, we could see this majestic view that you see on social media and it didn't disappoint! (Even with bad weather conditions).
We spent the night in a comfortable tent and returned early because of the rain.

Overall a very memorable experience even though we didn’t summit, due to bad weather.
Honestly it was okay as the guide Nazea was looking out for our safety and well-being. Knowledgeable in the his work.
Porters were also amazing, carrying the supplies up the trail like a walk in the park.
Highly recommend Nazea for guide, with his experience and knowledge you will definitely get the full experience and will be in safe hands.

Rinjani Hero is a professional, responsive and customer oriented company for your trek. They give you all the logistic facilities to get to the trek, information, pick-up/drop-off and respond very fast any questions via wats.
The trek gear is good, from sleeping bag, tent, mattress, table… also the food and service treatment is very good.
The guide and porters are well aware of the customer-first, and when the going gets tough and you miss the strength, the guide became especially caring.
As improvements, a higher level of English will help to improve the communication regarding many topics of interest as tourist (flora, fauna, local habits, nature, geology) this will make the experience more complete.
A final remark, not related to Rinjani Hero, is the amount of garbage on the mountain and campsites, which truly spoils the beauty of this marvellous landscape. Failure of reversing this situation will inevitably affect tourism for the future.

It was a tough trek up but an incredible experience! The guides and porters were also outstanding and took good care of us.

Extraordinary trek up to the crater rim with our guide Odi and Porters Anto and Merda. We were every well looked after by these three, seemingly getting the best spot at every stop including our own private mound-top to camp on overlooking the other campers. Food was fantastic, plentiful, and varied as were drinks - we were very impressed. Odi was very relaxed company, and we were very much shown up by Merda and Anto who somehow outpaced us in only flip flops and carrying ~30kg of equipment balanced on a bamboo cane on one shoulder - Herculean! Thanks again team! - Highly reccomend to anyone (just maybe take some entertainment 1 cards / chess etc for the top!)

Our experience with Rinjani Hero was truly memorable! They took care of every detail, picking us up at our hotel, drove us from south to north of Lombok and setting us an overnight stay. Later on we had a review of the hike and make sure we were all set.
We were picked up at 8 a.m. and then we drove for about 45 min to the entry point into Rinjani National Park. Our entrance was sorted out quickly and we started hiking at 9.30 a.m. The hike was challenging at times, mainly due to the heat and humidity, dry terrain and loose dust underfoot. Thankfully we were lucky to have cloud cover for a good portion of the hike, shielding us from the direct sun up until the campsite on the rim below the Rinjani summit.
Our porters prepared all the meals and each dish was absolutely delicious – kudos to the team for the fantastic food!
We woke up at 1:00 a.m., started our summit hike at 2:00 a.m., and reached the top a little past 5:00 a.m. Our guide joined us for the ascent, providing valuable support along the way. The climb was very windy, with temperatures around 7°C, making it a cold but exhilarating experience.
We were rewarded with a stunning sunrise at the summit, and when we returned to the camp, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast before beginning our descent.
The team was incredibly efficient and friendly, making our Rinjani trek an unforgettable adventure.

Beautiful nature, great views, amazing food and the best guide and porters. Although the second day of the trek is challenging, the views, hot spring, and nature in general is worth the pain in our muscles we had afterwards.

Our two-day trek with Rinjani Hero was an unforgettable experience! The guides were incredibly helpful, showing so much care and attention throughout the entire journey. They even went the extra mile to invent clever solutions and adjustments that made our trek easier and more enjoyable.

Climbing Mount Rinjani was an unforgettable experience. Though it was tough and reaching the summit was extremely challenging, my guide was amazing. He adjusted to my pace and supported me every step of the way, ensuring I could make it to the top. Guides was truly exceptional. I also have deep respect for the porters who accompanied us their hard work was truly admirable.

Yes Mount rinjani is closed from 1 January - 31 March... So will be available on 1 April.
