This is the place to learn about and see the big cats. You will gain an appreciation for these wonderful beauties and why conservation is so important. Great day trip!

Best Big Cat Experience Yet!
Feb 2020 • Teman
The guided tour was a surprisingly fun treat. I expected to pay, see the big cats, and leave. It was a guided tour from an expert who truly loved the animals and took great care of them. Knowing the back story, seeing how they care for them, and learning all different facts about the tigers, lions, cougars, and leopard. I highly recommend going.

AMAZING ANIMAL RESERVE TO VISIT
Jul 2019
This place is really amazing. We took our teenage grandsons and they were extremely impressed. Our guide, Ms Melville was informative, professional, and personable. We learned so much about the background of the CFLAR.ORG and how deeply they care for the cats. It is located about 1.5 hours south of Daytona Beach and worth every minute. We spent about an hour and a half and only left due to the heat. Don’t miss this & help support them. Thank you Ms Melville.

A VERY INTERESTING AND INFORMATIVE PLACE TO VISIT
Mei 2019 • Keluarga
we were met at the entrance (which is just a tent at the moment but they are having a building put up next year)by kelly, the minute we met her we knew she was very happy to show us around and explain the plight of the big cats they have rescued ,bear in mind this is not a zoo,it is a rescue centre and deserves our support, also all the cats there can not be released back into the wild as they would not survive.the staff there are mostly all volunteers who give up their time to look after these cats,it was fantastic to see the cats so close and here their stories, kelly seemed to know the story of every cat and it seems they love her as much as she loves them, they are obviously well cared for which is good to know,i would recomend this place to visit to anyone who is interested in helping big cats, but like i said, this is not a zoo, please support them any way you can as they need every penny they can get to help rescue more cats that are being mistreated.

These cats are extremely loved, cared for and respected.
Feb 2019 • Keluarga
I went to CFAR yesterday with my family. So awesome to have this amazing sanctuary so close to where I live. Besides the obvious... getting to see these majestic cats so close up, the tour was fantastic for many other reasons. It's obvious to see how loved, respected and cared for these cats are. The grounds and enclosures are impeccably kept. They are constantly given new toys to keep their interest AND the tigers each get their own pool! Yep, tigers like pools. Who knew?! Kelly was a great guide. She's a wealth of information but more importantly, she knew each cat personally and gave details about their personalities. I will definitely be going back and bringing more friends!

Non profit animal rescue organisation
Des 2018 • Sendiri
This is NOT a tourist attraction as such, it is a hard working, non profit animal rescue centre run primarily by volunteers. If, as was suggested in a previous review, you are expecting theme park style attraction, this is probably not somewhere you should visit. If however you are interested in learning more about big cats and the excellent work that CFLAR do, whilst helping with funding by visiting, then it is well worth a visit.

As with all wild animals, you cannot guarantee what they will be doing when you visit, it is quite likely that they will be resting or sleeping as that is natural behaviour - if you are expecting circus style tricks you will be disappointed.

We were lucky enough to have Simba, the CEO of CFLAR take our small group around and his passion and dedication was obvious and infectious. We learnt a lot about the cats and how the organisation works in a relaxed manner, no tricks or staged shows.

I echo Frank J's comments, this is a testament to the dedication of the volunteers and yes, it was worth every penny we paid. The photographs taken by JAC are amazing too!

Excellent Animal Exhibit
Des 2018 • Pasangan
Ok, where to begin, I enjoyed the long ride out to there, a lot less traffic to contend with, but, when we finally arrived, I became enchanted with those beautiful creatures. Sure, there were no real facilities for rest rooms, etc. but once you start talking to the guides, it is understandable why some of the facilities are not yet available, since they only operate on donations for sustainment of the food for the animals, medical treatment for these beautiful animals, and last but not least a portable visitors tent and area. To me it was a fulfilling example of folks giving their time from their families to bring us a little closer to a real animal exhibit. I saw nothing but love and affection from all the folks there, guides and staff, for these creatures
I for one, am proud to be able to say, the tour was worth every penny, and only hope that this place can become a real thing of beauty.....well done volunteers and staff!!!

See Lions and Tigers Up Close and Personal
Sep 2018 • Pasangan
Seeing the Lions and Tigers up close was fantastic. The Lions and Tigers are usually at quite a distance like at Zoos or at a Circus. This was a real treat to have a dedicated host telling us about each of them, sometimes petting them. These are such precious animals and to see that they are well cared for and treated so humanely was worth the visit. The reserve is about a half hour from the town of St. Cloud out near ranches and farm areas. It seems to be the perfect place for these beautiful creatures. I think 75 minutes would be the perfect time for a tour as it can be very hot. The reserve provides water bottles which are indeed helpful during the tour. To see these animals up close is well worth the trip and we recommend it wholeheartedly. We'll be back next year.

AMAZING Animal Rescue, 5 stars
Agt 2018 • Pasangan
Where to start, CFAR is a little hard to find as they are new to this area. We were greeted by a most professional and excited volunteer. You could tell she had a real love of animals. A tent was set up with chairs, water, T-shirts and lots of information. Our tour guide Heather greeted us within a few minutes. This tour is a must see for anyone who loves big cats. The most educational and intresting animal reserve we have visited. The love and respect everyone has for these animals is apparent from the moment you walk through the gate. Thank you to Heather for all the information and time you allowed us for this behind the scenes tour. We will be retunring.

Not what I expected...
Jun 2018 • Keluarga
Just an FYI - this is a long drive from most places. When you arrive, no bathrooms, no indoor building at all. Greeters under a tent, port a john in the grass. No running water. They don't really state this on the website. We arrived after 1 1/2 drive with teens in tow. You are walking next to the enclosures with no shade. Not something to do on a rainy day at all. Would not go again in summer. Not suitable for small children at all. We really expected to see some of the interaction or feeding of the cats, most were sleeping or lounging in hot weather. Did not get to see large lion; they said he is in the back tour - I guess the longer back tour is better. So we all were happy to help the non profit make some money on showing what they do, but it was very rustic indeed and I think the tour was not enough time to really sit and enjoy the beautiful cats.

Thank you for your comments. We’re sorry the experience was not what you expected. Our guests usually enjoy the calm ambience and intimate time with our animal residents but it sounds like the weather made the encounter less enjoyable. Thank you again for your support of our animal residents. Please contact our tour team at tours@cflar.org if you’d like to discuss further.
