Revisited the White Horse today after my last review of no milk available for coffee at 12.00 hrs!
The “ Posh fish fingers “ contained less fish than a Birds Eype fish finger!
We were still unable to have a coffee afterwards,
Due to the machines having to be cleaned prior to an electric cut this afternoon??
The restaurant is still fully open ! No mention of closures!

Nice meal but waited to long

Booked a table for 4 for 730
Left restaurant at 1030 just after finishing dessert. The meal when we got it was nice but the service was very dis jointed .
It took ages to get the sharing bread we ordered for starters then we only got one of the items ordered much later the waitress asked us if we wanted to order our dessert and we had to tell her we had not had our main meal ! There seems to be a problem in the kitchen with the organisation as we ordered dessert and hot drink but were brought the hot drink and after waiting 15 minutes we asked where the desett was! We felt sorry for the waitress as it was not her fault but the manager needs to really look at being on top of the orders going out in a timely.manner to.improve this restaurants service

Food really good and tasty. Service excellent. The only adverse comment I would make is that without the promotion, 50% off mains, then the prices are on the higher side.

We had a fantastic time. Me and my partner were greeted by Katherine and Grace. Both had exceptional customer service and despite having such challenging customers, their hospitality and customer service was incredible. We love the white horse and cannot rate the service better. The food is second to none and we’ve had a lot of special moments and so much so we’ve booked our first valentines meal here. Thank you so much team! Xxx

The staff were very pleasant the venue was also pleasant and a very nice atmosphere
I've eaten here a handful of times & have been happy with what I was served, however I had a party of 15 at the venue last night being 19/12/2021 & although the food was good I expected more on my plate than the two slices of turkey,3 roast potatoes,tiny carrot,tiny parsnip,tiny pig in blanket,some tiny vegetable mess that was eaten in one fork serving, a meagre drop of gravy I was dissapointed I didn't get sprouts as the menu had said !
Whenever I've had Christmas Dinner I always expect stuffing,which there wasn't any.
The Christmas pudding was very good but the custard was meagre I'll probably go back again but definitely not for Christmas Dinner unless they change to a traditional Christmas Dinner.

Very attractive pub/restaurant adjacent to Bearsted Green, Pub has a Beer Garden There is also a Car park but not extensive, 2 disabled bays .
Restaurant and Bar Area. We booked a table in advance to ensure we could get seated. Easily done online.
On arrival , We entered to a friendly atmosphere, Staff were very pleasant and we were shown to table quickly. We noticed there was no heating on and we found it very cold inside so kept coats on which isn't really ideal.
Menus etc handed out in good time, We ordered. and the food came out in after around 15-20mins, on this occasion the food was well presented but some elements were barely warm as if been standing. (Chips)

Overall pleasant experience,

Environment was super - gastro pub at its best! Dinner was amazing - the food was super and the chef was obviously fantastic at his profession. Charlie, our waitress, was friendly and knowledgeable. A great evening and one we would be happy to repeat. Well done The White Horse.

Absolutely lovely food, the smoked salmon and prawns followed by rack of lamb that was perfectly cooked medium rare!!! The staff, we were mainly served by Charlie, were extremely friendly and the whole experience represented great value.
