World-class climbing gym in the middle of office parks

This place is the real deal: extensive lead climbing routes, tons of bouldering, large workout area, clean and spacious locker rooms, tons of gear for sale. The route setting is also excellent – lots of variety.

I got a half-day pass for about $22, which seemed totally reasonable. Definitely worth a visit for indoor climbing and training.

Great Indoor Climbing Gym

Planet Granite has a wide variety of climbing available — bouldering, top-roping, and lead climbing. All necessary gear can be rented at the front desk, but most climbers bring their own. This gym has over 100 anchors and most have top ropes set up, but some are lead only.

There is also gym equipment, yoga, and weights. There are lockers rooms with showers.

The staff is generally friendly and helpful. If top-rope belaying, you are required to pass their test (it’s easy if you know what you’re doing). Bouldering just requires watching a short safety video on your first visit. Signing the waiver requires photo ID (driver’s license or passport).

Indoor climbing at its best

This has bouldering, regular climbing, space for exercise machines, free weights and yoga. My kids love this place. Wish they had week passes still.

Bay Area's premier rock climbing gym

This is a huge climbing gym with a several areas to top rope as well as three bouldering areas. There is also a weight room, treadmills as well as a Yoga studio. THe climbing are takes up the bulk of the gym and has over a hundred top rope anchors with walls as high as 20 meters. The staff is friendly and helpful, if you don't have your gear with you all the essentials can be rented on the spot.
