Carrousel Columbia, can always get on, this time I rode the lower level. Cool on a.hot day, as you pass the fountains.
I bought a season pass, to celebrate my 50 birthday. And this was my first job, in the 90's.
Food and ride lines are long, food is nothing special. I to was middle.school graduation. Lots of roaming teenagers, with few adults around.
And the Snoopy area for the Kids is cool. Need to borrow a nephew, and check it out. Next time I go the water park should be open.

Me and my friends are visiting here for her birthday. However, this trip has become a disaster. We’ve been waiting in line for bumper cars for over 30 mins and finally when we are done waiting, The birthday girl found out that her bumper car is completely broken. Not only that, there are several broken bumper cars that are removed and gotten used by people. All of us ended up upset because of this issue. You guys should removed equipments that are broken not only for our pleasure and also for our safety. No staff came up to help to issue this but went to us and told us there are a few that are broken. This is a serious issue of irresponsibility and also unprofessional. We came here for a happy start of spring break but ended up upset. Not satisfied with the trip in Great America.

My wife and two young kids had a lot of fun visiting CGA for a last minute spring break trip (rain cancelled our planned glamping trip). I mistakenly purchased the $65 Fastlane passes thinking entrance into the park was included NOT!!! (watch out when ordering on a mobile device screen) With the online price of $45 per person to enter the park, all in was $110.
Even though the Fastlane passes allowed us to get in every ride during the very short 11-5pm weekday spring hours, not all the best rides were open due to short staffing from spring break. One in particular was the Mass Effect 4D ride. This is akin to Disney’s Star Tours ride. As a side their Pyscho Mouse ride is identical (reverse layout) to Disneyland’s Goofy’s Flight School ride in California Adventures.
Sadly food in the park is about twice as expensive as you’d pay at a fast food restaurant but that goes without saying. The pay to play games are as usual a rip off and designed to make you lose but again, what else is new. Consider the cost of eating and those games a part of the experience.
What they should change to make the value a bit more worth it would be to discount the online prices when the top rides are closed. OR have a live feed of rides that will be closed when booking or even offer purchasers if tickets on a given day a one time use discount coupon to use at a later date. This latter option will yield them extra $$$ and cost them nothing.

We were having a great time at this beautiful park, with some terrific rides. It started raining (beyond the park's control, obviously), and we knew the forecast before buying the tickets. The forecast also said the showers would pass hours before the park was scheduled to close.
The park unfortunately decided to close about 3 hours early due to the rain (which was, again, not forecast to last). This unfortunately cut our visit rather short. Sure enough, not long after we left the park the rain started to die down.
I might consider going to this park again, assuming all the rides were open, but I would hesitate to go with anything less than a perfect weather forecast.
-Someone who don't mind the rain.

We paid for a fast pass and has our tickets printed out. For some reason they showed expired and the guy at the gate told us this has been happening, to go to Town Hall and get the passes. So far I have been waiting in line with another 75 other people. One person is working g the desk. We have 5 hours in the park and so far 1 hour is wasted. We won’t be back.

I went to Great America with low expectations -- my experiences with regional theme parks (thanks, Six Flags) has not often been positive. However, Great America really surprised me with a few things:
1. The staff were courteous, interactive and positive.
2. The place was well-maintained. No dingy buildings with peeling paint. Sure, the park is a forty years old, but everything was well maintained and clean.
3. A great variety of rides -- something for everyone.
4. Food prices were high, but not outrageous.
So, I do recommend Great America as a great day during your visit to Silicon Valley.

Went on Halloween 2021. Had fun in general and was able to hit all the mazes and a couple rides in 4 hours. The only draw back are the people there. Pretty much every single rule in place is instantly broken by everyone. Smoking everywhere, most people wearing no masks, terrible line cutting and place holding at every single maze, and general obnoxious behavior. Getting out of the parking lot at the end was awful, tons of cars cutting the lines, going around and etc. Regardless, we still had a good time and didn't wait longer then about 20-30 mins for anything. Just sucks that others have to ruin good things for people.

Was a nice little park, but a little disappointed. But, I should say that was because I was with my 4 1/2 son. This may be a great place for older kids. I wished there had been a more his age could enjoy. We got there at 11am and had riden everything he could by 4pm. And by that time the lines were to long, the rides weren’t waiting for.
I wish they had more live entertainment. We saw the one and only show, and it was super cute. There were stages set up, but they must have been for the Halloween after hours event. If there had been more live entertainment to enjoy between rides I would have said the park was Awesome. But without this it was lacking.
The food was AWEFUL. Total lunch cafeteria 🤢

I try to be fair with my reviews. In these trying times I know some things are out of the control of the people or place I am reviewing, But there was no excuse for the terrible experience today at Great America. California has 6 Major theme parks, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, California Adventure, Legoland, Six Flags and Great America, right now Great America is at the bottom of that list. Most of the major rides were not working, people who purchased a Fast Lane pass were not happy that most of the rides on the pass were not working. Lines for the rides were long, over an hour, and there were few places open to eat. Those that were open served food that was sub par. I live 110 miles from Great America, I live 400 miles from Knott's Berry Farm, right now I would rather driver the extra 300 miles to Knott's, that is how bad my experience at Great America was today.

I used to come here as a kid and just recently visited again as an adult. I didn't really know what to expect since it no longer has the Paramount Pictures licensing. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised!!
I went on a Friday in mid-September. Maybe many kids had already started school because it wasn't that busy at all. The longest wait time being 45min for Gold Striker. Flight Deck at 7pm was only a 20min wait. We were able to ride all the rides we wanted and had a great time. My nieces also enjoyed the waterpark.
We dined at the restaurant near the water park. I enjoyed a beer and we all shared some chicken tenders, mac and cheese, and a fruit cup. It was all fine. During the day we snacked on popcorn, which was buttery and salty, as it should be.
Like some of the other reviews mentioned, it's true that some employees seemed like they didn't want to be there, but some were very pleasant and made our ride experience more enjoyable.
The app is not the best. It's great for navigating, but the wait times didn't always show up so in some cases we would have to walk up to the ride entrance to assess the line. However, when the estimated wait time was posted in the app, it didn't seem wildly different from the actual wait time. Overall, the digital experience could be improved and finessed a lot more.
We did experience of a group of teens trying to cut in line, but it didn't sour my visit. I really enjoyed myself. So much that I even bought a season pass and have since gone 3 more times! I'd say temper your expectations. As far as amusement parks go, it's not the best, but it has its charms. They recently bought the land from Santa Clara County and have big plans for growth. I hope they continue to invest in the park as I will likely be a season pass holder for many seasons to come.

If I'm planning on staying in the park to eat, lunch, dinner, snack and/or dessert, how much money should I budget per person?

Buy the meal plan. I’ve always bought 1 for 2 people to share. You can get an Entree and side every 90 mins. I would set my watch timer. Lol 😂. Same with the all day drink cup. Honestly a small drink seemed like it was $4 or more. We took turns choosing the meal each time and drink. Actually fun!

Yes you should however we travel very light so I never bring more than a small waist pack with me. There is a water park so you can store bags in lockers there or larger bags at the front.

Does Great America offer towels or do I need to bring my own? Also, should we do the water park at the end of the day of the beginning. We would only want to go on some of the great water slides. No children involved. Just two adults looking for fun. Any tips on how to plan for this visit would be great!

Hands down six flags magic mountain! There is plenty to do for kids of all ages. We are a family of four with children ages 8 & 13. There are a couple of water rides to cool off, although on busy days I'd recommend a fastpass. If you have time to go next door to Hurricane Harbor I'd recommend checking it out too. Hope this helps!

No it is included in admission which makes this a good option for a hot day. Ride the rides in the morning, cool off in afternoon. Disclaimer I did not actually go to BB just looked at it and it seemed good. We didn't have time on our one quick day.

I’m thinking of maybe visiting next Thursday for a few hours. How are the lines for Gold Striker, Flight Deck, and Railblazer on weekdays as those are the rides I’m mostly would go there for.
TravelBug
Charlotte, NC85 kontribusi
On a weekday if you get there early there are no lines. We road railblazer first and there was no line (for the front no lines early either). About noon - 1pm lines start to form, Railblazer was the longest at 40 minutes. None of the others had lines. We went on a Wednesday in July. No need for fast passes if you get there early.
