I have been with the Actors Workshop for less than a year, but it has already changed the way I approach acting in every aspect. This workshop is eye opening and a hidden gem in the business. I look forward to class and the other students are always challenging each other right along side coaches RJ and Rob. I wouldn't train anywhere else-

I started with RJ and Rob Adams in 2005 after getting my SAG card for a national commercial. I was a professional dancer but knew NOTHING about the craft of film acting. Most people including myself go through a huge learning curve and it's a challenge to get rid of bad habits we have as humans that are full of self consciousness in front of the camera.
Rob & RJ have different teaching styles but they both help you persevere and evolve through the process of becoming an actor. They bring their experience behind the camera AND the business coaching to the class which is a rare combo in the LA area. You can be talented but you also have to learn how to get your face and resume in front of the right people.
After 6 years of studying with them in both their LA and OC locations I can attest to the fact that the technique stays with you. I recently visited the class (I now live in SF) and found that I hadn't lost my ability to not blink, focus on the other person, react, quick study, etc. I am so grateful I spent the years studying at The Actors Workshop.

The Actors Workshop is the place to be if you really want to learn and experience the "business". The instructors are fantastic! They have real TV and film experience and truly teach you the proper techniques ( this is not high school or community college drama/acting class) This is for the aspiring professionals who want to work in film and TV. Many successful actors have been the product of instruction from the Actors Workshop. I love the classes, they have truly helped in developing my craft. If you are serious about working in the TV and film industry, study at the Actors Workshop. You even get to work with casting directors, so even when you are still learning you get an opportunity to maybe get an acting job! Once again, greatest place to learn if you are really serious. Then it is definitely worth the money, time and effort.
