Thanks to Ino we got to REALLY understand the Toraja culture. We appreciated Ino’s kindness, humbleness, cautiousness, attentiveness and presence. He is such a lovely person and was appreciated not only us adults but also our two boys (6 and 8 years old). On top he is asking for official rates so you can be sure that he follows the local guidelines. We can highly recommend Ino as a guide!

I met Ino as a guide with a huge heart.
He is really a nice warm friendly caring person.

We spent 3 days touring toraja with Ino.
Ino speaks very good english and is extremely knowledgeable. He is from tana toraja, and really trasmits his passion and attachment to the tradition of the torajan people.
He took us for a short trek in the mountains around Rantepao but he can arrange also longer treks.
We had the opportunity of visiting authentic villages and traditional torajan's houses in the beautiful countryside, where everyone was so kind and welcoming.
Ino also helped us learn more about modern Indonesia and Sulawesi.

We took 3 days tour with Ino and we have learned a lot about Torajan culture.
He has a lot of experience and knowledge about Torajan culture, agriculture, plants, animals and many other things that we have learned talking with him. I absolutely recomend a tour with him.

The owner of the homestay where we stayed (Sanduk Homestay) recommended Ino to us and I can now say that it was a great recommendation!
He took care of everything from our arrival to our departure, we had a 3 days tour in Tana Toraja where we visited the most interesting places, we attended a funeral ceremony and we did some “ soft trekking” between hills and rice fields.
Besides his deep knowledge of Torajan history and culture, Ino is also a very clever guide and we were able to discuss and share also general impressions / opinions about the modern Indonesian culture.
In case of need he is also an experienced guide for multi-days and “hard trekking” in the mountains, so we will contact him again for sure to try also this kind of experiences if we will come back to Toraja in the future

I contacted many guides online (websites, TripAdvisor) before finally setting on this one. I read his TripAdvisor feedback and I have only the most positive feedback to share myself. I booked a 4 day tour. Ino was very responsive from the beginning till the end- since helping me organize my bus from Makassar to Toraja, until seeing me off to my bus back. The trip was very well organized and informative. I enjoyed being immersed in the local culture and apart from monuments, visiting Ino's friend in the countryside was a highlight. I also enjoyed the hike through the rice fields and mountains. All in all, I recommend his services 100%.

We had an amazing time with Ino in Tana Toraja. He is a very knowledgeable guide, from the area. We spent 4 days in Toraja and visited all the main sites and learned a lot from him about the culture and the ceremonies. We also did a trekking through the rice fields and he is the best at that. But the real reason I would absolutely recommend him as a guide is that he’s just a great person and very easy to be around. He is very flexible and he makes an effort to know what is best for the group he is guiding. We are a family with 3 teenage children and he tries to make the itinerary match everybody’s needs, including the children’s’. After Tana Toraja he and his friendly driver took us to Sengkang and Bira, so we spent many hours in the van together, but he is great company so we really enjoyed it. If you go to Tana Toraja, we all definitely recommend Ino. Don’t think twice about it, just book a tour with Ino and discuss what you want and he’ll give you his honest advice and will arrange everything for you.

Ino guided me and my family in July 2023 for a 3days/2nights trek in Tana Toraja and then an additional day for a cultural tour/half day trek.
Ino brought a lot of attention to design a trek and activities that meet our personal expectations. As we requested he customized the trek to ensure we use only small patch and rice fields walking. He introduced us in the villages and ceremonies we walked thru, it allow us to enjoy contact with the locals. He proposed us alternatives/options and we had the opportunities to attend funeral but also wedding and House blessing ceremonies. We have appreciated his knowledge and the way he talked/answer our questions about the Torajan culture, he took time to explain all Torajan cultural heritage but also others questions on today life or history of Sulawesi. He is very knowledgeable and he enjoys to share it always with a great mood and fun.
Ino speaks a very good English. He had a lot of attention with our 2 daughters (10&12 years old).

Ino!, Introduced by my connection in Toraja.
From the first second we met, it was a brilliant match. Him and his driver, we drove through the most beautiful part of this country, Toraja. He showed me all specials of this trip. He explained me a lot about this beautiful part of South Sulawesi, Toraja where many old traditions still exists. I was also invited into his friend’s house to see Tomakula - the preserved dead body, which is waiting for the funeral.
If you will ever be planning to go to Toraja, You should take contact with Ino. He will show and tell you all about Toraja and show a lot fantastic views. His very personal approach will give you the feeling that you must come back. Ino, I thank you so much for this fantastic travel around in your home surroundings. I hope to see you again someday!

Ino is really the best guide ever! He is very professional with a lot of knowledge about his beautiful region. Then he is a genuine person with a beautiful heart.
You can directly see that he loves his job and he is happy to share Tana Toraja's culture, tradition, and history.
I spent two amazing days with him. We went to the funeral ceremonies, saw the graves, the typical houses and drove around the beautiful landscapes.
Before meeting him, he was always available and fast to reply to all my questions. He speaks great English.
I'm physically disabled and during these two days he adapted to my needs and he was really caring.
In addition to being a great guide, he became my friend.
I totally recommend Ino to everyone who wants to explore Tana Toraja.
