We booked a 3-day trip to Bromo and Ijen. The whole trip was fantastic! We have Novian as our tour guide and driver. We stayed in Cafe Lava around Mt. Bromo and Illira Hotel around Mt Ijen. First night hotel was not good but second night hotel was nice. A genuine advice is not to miss the breakfast in the hotels.
Novian was patient and responsible. Local guides also took good care of us.

We contacted the company on WhatsApp and were able to get on the 3 days 2 nights tour going to mt. Bromo and Ijen crater, starting next morning. Communication was easy and without any problems. Next morning, our driver Novian showed up right on time to pick us up. During the tour we spent a lot of time with Novian, and he was a competent driver, good at telling about Indonesian culture, tradition, and was an overall hillarius and fun guy to be with. Most excellent english :)
Mt. Bromo was amazing. We were lucky with the weather (rain season), and our guide Arif showed us exciting routes to and from the volcano. He's also an excellent photographer, and knows how to make all kinds of stuff instagrammable!! He's very kind and genuinely passionate about nature preservation. He's from the area and has a lot of knowledge and good stories.
We met with Andi, our guide for Ijen. He worked as a sulfur miner in the crater for over 20 years, and knows every stone and every miner in the area. It felt very special to descend into the crater in the middle of the night with such an experienced guide. We always felt safe and there were time to ask about everything we wanted to know. Again we were lucky with the weather and got to see both the blue flames and a clear view of the lake. Andi speaks good english and is a kind and caring person :)
Accomodation was great throughout the trip, and transfer to Ubud in Bali went without a glitch. Totally recomment this company!

From start to finish the tour was very professional, punctual and friendly. Any queries were answered within 5 minutes on WhatsApp. The drivers were always waiting for us at the appropriate time. The hotels that include breakfast exceeded our expectations. MountBromo was great but mount Ijen blew us away. Will be telling anyone who will listen to go on this tour! Thank you Dickie, Agus, Eko!! We've had a great experience going to Mount Bromo and Mou t Ijen with this company. The communication with Aruel was all clear and good. Our driver, Dicky, picked us up from the airport and drove us around for the following 3 days. He was very enthusiastic and helpful! Even when I had to go to the doctor (small incident eith my eyes) he brought us to the hospital and stayed to translate it for us! We are super thankful for that. Everything was organized from the airport in Surabaya to our hotel In Seminyak, Bali. There was even someone who went with us on the ferry and brought us to the next taxi!
Ecko was our guide at Mount Bromo and he was very friendly!
The trekking on Mt Ijen was a bit harder. But our guide Andy really made the difference! He looked after us and told us a lot about the volcano and the work of the mineworkers. He also made great videos of the blue fire and of us in the crater. He was the best guide ever!
The first hotel we stayed in was a bit noisy. There was a lot of light and noise from the touringcars outside our room. But the second night compensated everything! Over all: we would recommend everyone to book the tour with this company. They made our trip unforgettable!

We spent 5 days with Novian from Java Golden. An excellent driver. The car was perfect. Always on time and at our disposition according to the program. Helpful and funny. We’ve had a great time in East Java. I highly recommend. We were a party of 4

We take the private tour from Surabaya to Ubud, and we wanted to visit both Bromo and Ijen volvanoes. Hollis, the driver, picked up at Surabaya airport with a very nice new car. He stayed with us all thle way until the ferry to Bali, and was extremely kind and experienced driver! You have a support english speaking person every part of the trip, which includes guides and drivers and managing of entrances to volcanoes and ferry. Price is so correct, as you get a private and personalized tour and Java Golden provides you door-to-door service. We would recommend it everyone, specially if you are short of time and want to go as many places as you can. Thanks for everything Java Golden!

We trully enjoyed our trip touring in a small group of 8 family members. The hotels were up to our expectations once we negotiated with the agent and checking the standards through Tripadvisor. I revisited Bromo after 30 years and truly enjoyed this time so much more with improved amenities. We got up at 1 am to trek to the Ijen crater in time for sunrise. Surprisingly the wind was blowing in a direction that we required no masks. The views were just spectacular. The waterfall experience was another highlight. I learnt to ride pillion on a motorbike for the 1st time and it was fun. Our guide Chayo is an excellent and caring guide and we could not ask for a more capable and courteous driver. The van was new and clean. My best of 3 Java visits. For Bali, several of us have been there many times but the places we visited were at an adequate relaxing pace after 3 long days of outdoor hiking activities. We requiested particular speciality shops to visit and were accepted. In summary it was good value for money with very good standards.

The guide was perfect! In everything! He supported us during the climbing, holding my friend's hand the whole time, cause she was afraid of the height. The preparation went perfectly, we did not have to think of anything, just relax and let him organize everything. after the tour, which was amazing, we visited waterfalls, all included in the price. English of the guide and his vehicle is also great. he also organized our transfer to next island.

For my friend and me it was the most impressing trip we ever had. I was afraid walking down the path. So I was glad that our guide Aruel supported me in the best possible way. He‘s very helpful, speaks English fluently and is excellent in joking.
I don‘t want to give too much information in advance. What I’d like to point out: I recommend the trip to everyone! The trip definitely changed my mind... Seeing the working conditions of the miners and how they risk their life & health every day was cruel.
The trip showed me to be more grateful and satisfied for the living and working conditions I have.
