Fantastic fun and excellent experience led by Alex. Lovely setting, Alex is super patient with children and adults alike. This is the second time we have visited, our first was in February half term earlier this year. Faultless to be honest, we will likely return again as it’s a great activity particularly when weather poor - make sure to book.

Wonderful Experience Learning Different Pottery Techniques

I was lucky enough to spend two full days with Alex learning different Pottery Techniques.
I was glad I tried the Potters Wheel, a completely new experience for me.
I really enjoyed hand making the individual pieces and experimenting with designs and colour.
Alex explained everything fully and helped every step of the way.
Lunch was delicious and Alex catered with my dietary restrictions brilliantly.
I would highly recommend.

What can I say ... Alex is absolutely amazing! I was planning a hen party and was looking for something different to do that didn't fit the usual hen party mould and came across Alex. I messaged him to enquire about a fun pottery session and from the start he was simply fantastic! Nothing was too much trouble for him. He answered lots of questions and enquires before the session and was so relaxed and flexible about everything which was just great. We arrived at the studio and everything was set up and ready to go! As soon as the session started Alex had so much patience with us and allowed us to have lots of fun and laughter. He taught us lots of techniques and showed us how to create some great pieces but also gave us the freedom to do our own designs. Alex also taught us how to use the pottery wheel and we all somehow managed to create a bowl. Alex didn't rush us at all and made sure we had a product we were happy with and which we could use in the future. Alex also had a great sense of humour and put up with all our hen party jokes!
I can not recommend Alex enough - we had the best time and would not hesitate to book again! If you are looking for something fun to do - get him booked in!

Very enjoyable experience trying pottery

I have always fancied trying pottery... so my partner and I visited Alex’s Pottery School on our 1st year anniversary weekend and we had a brilliant time! Alex was really helpful and patient with us while explaining the techniques. We were both surprised how well we got on with the wheel and that’s down to Alex’s brilliant advice and our natural ability (ha ha). We look forward to seeing our finished articles in 6-8 weeks. Would definitely recommend a visit!!

Pottery wheel experience

My 7 year old daughter had such a fabulous evening learning to throw a pot with Alex. He is such a patient and fun teacher who coped admirably with her overflowing enthusiasm. She is thrilled that she made bowls and a cup she will be able to use (once they are finished being fired). Highly recommend this experience and next time I will bring the rest of the family and definitely have a go myself.

Fun for all the family

What a great way to spend a couple of hours!
Alex is a great teacher, he explained everything very well and very patiently helped all of us to make a couple of pots each.
The children (6, 10 and 16) all enjoyed themselves as did the grown ups.

Amazing Experience !!!

We were driving to Wales for the weekend & phoned on the off chance and Alex managed to fit us in and we were so pleased as we had the best time.
It is such a lovely thing to do and we had some family time just losing ourselves in the whole experience.
Alex was so lovely, calm, experienced & helpful and I only wished we lived closer!! Thank you for making our stay in Wales a fantastic one and one which we will always remember with the beautiful items we made.

Took my daughter for a hours tuition on the wheel.
Alex is a very approachable, calm, patient man who's teaching skills are excellent.
My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I watched throughout. Very reasonable cost too. Thanks Alex.
